Justin: Not really. Most schools are mainly alcohol and not so much pot. Well, schools like this, anyway.

I have every one in this school who smokes' number in my phone. I got connections, thank God, but only like 20 of us smoke in a school of about 2,500. I'm not even exaggerating. All 20 of us do shrooms, too, so we're pooling our resources to get some.

i don't do that stuff any more, because the people i'm around don't smoke and then chill and listen to music and stuff. they are the type that smoke, get coked up, then go out to clubs and bars. and that definitely isn't my thing. so i just don't even bother.

There was a kid in my science class that said something to the extent of "I listen punk... underground stuff like Rancid".

Honestly, dude, 100%. At orientation, my group's leaders were like, "There's no pot here. No one here smokes except for like 5 people."

It's nuts.

My speech went really well. I went second (wanted to go third, but no one signed up for second). I set up my laptop and speakers without problem, did small tests on the volume and went ahead. Was nervous the entire time, but I don't think it showed as much as my last speech. The audience reacted well to me. Everyone raised their hand when I asked if they had heard of emo. I got laughs when I said MTV had brainwashed them. At least one guy knew Minor Threat. People were interested in the subject and the reactions from the music was nice. My teacher made some awesome faces when I played Swing Kids and CTTS. I got more laughs when I concluded with that MTV always lies.

Got plenty of questions, someone asked me when emo started (I covered it in my speech, he must not've been paying attention) and someone asked about Bright Eyes. I went overtime by 55 seconds, not too bad.

The TA commended me on my transitions and my lack of ums and she told the class I was a model speaker in that area.

I'll find out my grade Monday more than likely.
