Masskontroll are great except the vocals are a bit harsh.
The harsh vocals are my favorite part. It really brings all their stuff together.

I thoght id add this to here too. It gives a great definition of Crust and gives a list of great bands.(some ive neveer heard of)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crust_Punk

And i dont consider Filth crust....but damn do they rock.
Yeah, I usually add bands as they get mentioned, but sometimes I'm just really lazy.

Oh, and I recommend:
Warcollapse
Axegrinder
Behind Enemy Lines
Hiatus
Masskontroll
I like Dystopia a good deal, but at times they get a bit slow/sludgy for my tastes, but most of their stuff is good.

Can anyone suggest any Masskontrol stuff?

That's the other problem, my college has a block on downloading programs, I can only download files off websites or directly off people or email. Things like limewire, shareazaa, and soulseek don't work for whatever reason.

Feel The Darkness 02-06-2006 11:19 AM

I'm getting the Insect Warfare EP, At War With Grindcore, on slsk, so if you wanna get it, lemme know.

That's the title track from their Warpath EP.

Also, if you have AIM, you can browse my files through there.

Fritz Plays Bass 02-06-2006 12:40 PM

Thanks, I'll IM you later when I'm not about to head over to class, but giving the title track a listen it's pretty friggen good stuff if I do say so.

Random but what do you guys think of From Ashes Rise? I had the chance to see them over the summer in NYC with Subhumans, LoC and World/Inferno and thought they put on an amazing show, but not many people got into them which I found disappointing. I know they broke up, have they started anything new since?

AIRIC 02-06-2006 04:07 PM

I'm pretty sure Tragedy and soem Crime band came from them. Good stuff.

From ashes rise are dope...i like em a lot.

Fritz Plays Bass 02-06-2006 05:14 PM

I ordered Nightmares on CD, I'll hopefully be picking it up this weekend when I go back home, but the songs I have are very enjoyable. Trading Children For Corpses and Walking Dead are standouts to me.

Also, I'm not positive on this but I feel like Tragedy came before From Ashes Rise and after His Hero Is Gone? Someone correct me please.

DaveToopes 02-06-2006 05:22 PM

I really like From Ashes Rise, I listened to them a lot last week.

DaveToopes 02-06-2006 06:06 PM

I feel dumb, thax!

I agree, HeavyHeavyLowLow are really good, I'ma listen to them tonight.

Feel The Darkness 02-06-2006 06:21 PM

Tragedy came out of His Hero is Gone and Deathreat, and some of the members made up From Ashes Rise, and started Deathreat back up.

Brain Toad 02-06-2006 06:25 PM

I listended to Jesus Chrust just a few minutes ago. I think if it was better quality I might've liked it more.

Yeah, the quality is total shit, but I like it, and I have yet to find anything better.

Times Ten 02-06-2006 06:54 PM

From Ashes Rise rules. So does Deathreat. So does Tragedy. So does His Hero is Gone.

I saw Tragedy and Deathreat last summer, all I need would be FAR and HHIG, but both have broken up. I hope both decide to do a reunion show eventually.

Fritz Plays Bass 02-06-2006 07:33 PM

Deathreat is very very very good. I was 5 seconds from buying one of their 7"s at a distro booth at the last show I was at, and I got talked into buying ****ed Up instead, which was good anyway. The guy said the Deathreat 7" had been there for the better part of a year, so I'll get it next week hopefully. Also, I got soulseek working on this computer, which should be much better than aim.
