Correct. I think the intro riff sounds like an Eric Draven solo from The Crow (a movie).

Oh awesome! I haven't seen the Crow (YET), so I wouldn't know. I wish I knew where all the movie clips they use come from.

i've been to that site a before, but just reading the bio and stuff..i never looked at the discography cause i thought it would be just a typical listing of the albums and the songs. anyway, i actually went to see where the movie quotes were from, and ended up getting an answer for my question, it's Mozart's Queen of the night Aria

The start of Red Light In My Eyes II is a Mozart lick.

Anyway, to the topic of bands, I'm a one person band. Pretty unique stuff. Instruments I have on my tracks are usually quite a high number. Strings, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Symphony Percussion, Harps, Piano, and much more.

Right now though i'm working on my black metal project.

One person band = very hard. I wouldn't suggest it, haha.

I don't have anything completely recorded/on here yet. I'll post some of my Black Metal tracks sometime when I record them though. They aren't hard to do other than the vocals.

yeah i suppose so, but it'll be something until i can get into a band. i'm sure i'll find some people when i'm on campus this fall.

Ah, I see. Well, good luck man. :thumb:

its pretty simple and easy but the way we look at it...its not about speed and complication, its about the sound and feel of the song, let me know what you think

The chorus just bugs me. Pt.2 is also more classical/melo/metal stuff.

Outro and Intro are too cool

I just realized...your avatar looks like a Jawa. Yknow, those little desert people with the hoods and glowing eyes from Star Wars IV?

Scary as hell... :amaze:

I STILL don't know the tracklisting for my Something Wild cd...friend won't tell me. Anybody care to upload Something Wild for me?

flamesofbodom 07-12-2005 08:53 AM

Ill do it later....only if you join Josh's site!

AA-12 07-12-2005 09:01 AM

that's right, a song can be great without being fast and complicated. stuff that's written with just that in mind sounds like random jamming.

anyway, about your song, it isn't bad at all :), the one thing i noticed is it's kinda repetetive.
some repetition's good, but if there's too much it takes away from the effect of the music and mood you're trying to establish. it's definitely got potential though, keep it up :thumb:

I dunno, i think there's something about him, women and Shadows Fall...
However, it really is cool that you like all this music...don't see that too often.

And to three_over_one, your song was decent...too repetitive, but decent. Tweak it in a few places, and it would be great. :thumb:

ha, yeah. I asked him if it was the fact that I was a girl/metalhead and he said something like "no, but that does make it better."

It was so funny. Today I was on AOL and I went into AOL radio. They added some metal stations; black metal, death metal and metalcore. I clicked on Black Metal station and what was playing? Children of Bodom; Bed of Razors.
I was laughing so hard.

wont have so much repetition when we get done...we still have to add in the vocals and put something else in there guitar wise...glad you like it though

It does make it much better. And now thanks to my consistent screaming i'm pretty damn tired from last night.

...wooo...Shadows Fall...

AA-12 07-12-2005 10:31 AM

I've been screaming/singing for about an hour, haha. Makes you quite tired.

So does headbanging...plus, that gives you a headache.

I don't usually get headaches from headbanging. I get terrible neck pain for the next several days. But since I've been to several metal shows and that hasn't happened I think my neck may be getting stronger.
