Crap! Not having testicles sometimes has a downside
Does anyone know where he's gonna play in NYC? Prolly MSG or Yankee Stadium |
I would say MSG, but I'm not sure. He's announcing next week. If I don't get a ticket, I'm fuckin sneaking in.
Ringo Starr wasnt The Bestt drummer, but he had a f-ing awesome style, he didnt overdo the Tom Toms, and concentrated mainly on the snare, hit hat, crash symbols and Bass drum.
Ummm, he used a lot of tom tom later on. His tom tom sound on Abbey Road and bits on the White Album are a very signature sound. early on, he didn't use enough tom tom (then again, no one did, since no one knew how to tune 'em correctly back then to make them sound good). |

I said overdo the tom toms i didn't say he didn't use them, or that he only used tom toms a tiny bit, all i ment was He didnt use them too much, or so much that they were overpowering in the songs. Recently i have set up my cpu speakers so that the Subwoofer is closer to me then the speakers, and i've been turning up the bass to its maximum so i can hear Paul McCartneys bass playing more then anything else, Because i have never really heard his bass in many songs. Its Really quite fuc*ing amazing, *Just throwing my two cents in* |
his bass isnt too difficult, but its catchy
So, what do you think about Sgt. Peppers topping the Beatles albums in the top 100 poll? I liked it. :)
It is really an impossible question to answer. That and the one with "who had the best solo career"
Hey does the beatles anthology include the movie a Hard Day's Night?
Why did the Beatles break up?
Alot of reasons, having to do with getting sick of each other, and of course, Yoko.
They were drifting apart. Yoko just pushed them waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over the edge.
Yoko did not cause the beatles to break up, she might of had a tiny TINY bit to do with it, watch the beatles anthology ep. 8,
They were just tired and making music together wanstng giving them the kicks they used to. The Beatles anthology does not incluede the movie a Hard Days Night, it has a few clips of it tho |
The Beatles broke up because you can't have that much talent in one recording studio. they were all very talented and wanted to do different things, so the breakup was inevitable.
Paul McCartney does have great basslines, not too difficult, but very creative.
I am not familiar with the Beatles but I am going to buy an album. Which should I buy
I would say Abbey Road or The White Album.
Seeing as you like Hendrix Im assuming you enjoy psychedelic music therefore you should get Magical Mystery Tour other will say Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Harts Club Band but I think MMT > SPLHCB.

I totally agree. While SPLHCB did a lot for music, MMT did a lot for the Beatles. In a lot of ways that album marked one of the Beatles biggest changes. |

Agreed. I love the ones in Ob-la-di Ob-la-da and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. |

His bass in Something is fantastic. |

I definitely agree. I like the bass in Michelle too. It just fits so perfectly. And I also agree with whoever said MMT>SPLHCB. MMT and Rubber Soul are my current favorites. |

Exactly, I can play Something, but I couldn't have made it up. By any means. |

I totally agree. His bass licks are addicting. I personally love the on in "Hello, Goodbye". |
Paul's best bass line is probably Rain, and I also love the slides on Dear Prudance.
I'm listening to "A Day In The Life" as we speak. Great song. My favorite Beatles album is by far Sgt. Pepper & The Lonely Hearts Club Band, followed by Help! and Revolver.
Yep, it's a great song.
Paul's best bass line is probably Rain, and I also love the slides on Dear Prudance.
I love rain, I just heard it for the first time last month. Its the first whole bass line (besides bluegrass, heh) that I figured out on my own, last Thursday. I was so proud of myself I can't even say. Maybe I should tab it :ponders: |
Rain is easily the most underrated Beatle song....its not on any of the original albums (it was the B-side to Paperback Writer) and since it didn't hit #1, its rarer and thus not a lot of people would get a chance to hear it (its on Past Masters). I was lucky to hear it early in my Beatles career, and I absolutly love it.
Its like a forgoten gem in the attic of Beatles songs, another great aong on the old "Hey Jude" album that never got brought to attention. It sounds like it was snipped off of Revolver
Where is everyone?
Any news on that tour? |
