I just hate using sewing machines, so I generally stick to hand-sewing unless I really need the machine.

Jessizzle 03-28-2005 06:22 PM

i like the machine.. man id love to see a guy sewing.. and a punk even better.

Jaw, Knee, B. Goode 03-28-2005 06:27 PM
when your sewing something on, how to do get the thread to stay at the end? some kind of knot?
I don't use a knot. I just sew the thread a lot at the end. That might be hard to understand but I just sew in one spot a lot so it wont come out it works really good.

There's a brand new dance
But I don't know it's name
That people from bad homes
Do again and again
It's big and it's bland
Full tension and fear
They do it over there
But we don't do it here

Fashion - Turn to the left
Fashion - Turn to the right
We are the goon squad
And we're coming to town
Beep-beep - Beep-beep

Listen to me - Don't listen to me
Talk to me - Don't talk to me
Dance with me - Don't dance with me
No - Beep-beep - Beep-beep

There's a brand new talk
But it's not very clear
That people from good homes
Are talking this year
It's loud and it's tasteless
I've not heard it before
Shout it while you're dancing
On the -er dance floor

Fashion - Turn to the left
Fashion - Turn to the right
We are the goon squad
And we're coming to town
Beep-beep - Beep-beep

Listen to me - Don't listen to me
Talk to me - Don't talk to me
Dance with me - Don't dance with me
No - Beep-beep - Beep-beep

Oop bop - do do do do do do do do
Fa fa fa fa fashion
i like the machine.. man id love to see a guy sewing.. and a punk even better.
Haha, yeah, like a really spirit-of-77 punk sewing. It's like seeing a hardcore goth drive a car. It just looks funny.

I use a sewing machine to resize shirts.

clash_hooligans 03-29-2005 04:47 AM
how do you make pants from old pants? I found some pants around my house that fit leg wise, but the waiste won't fit. I thought it would save me the trouble and money of getting fabric and stuff.
I did that once and it turned out okay, but i don't wear the pants much, they're too uncomfortable.

oitotheworld 03-29-2005 07:26 AM

What i ended up doing was cutting a slit down the side of the waist, then cutting the sleeve of a shirt off and sewed part of it on where the slit was. They fit nice now but seem a little unconfortable

Shtein 03-29-2005 07:30 AM

buy new pants from the Salvation Army

Shtein 03-29-2005 07:31 AM

SantaDuJuan 03-29-2005 10:13 AM
Tie a knot. End so the know will be on the inside, so it's not burshing anything. Cut off the excess. It should stay like that.
You could all ways just go back and forth with the sewing machine.

You kids make it so much harder than it is.

I could do that, but as I said before. My mom won't let me use her machine.

AndreTheHyena 03-29-2005 03:20 PM

Yeah, with a machine, you just go back over the stitching for a few..revolutions? Or whatever.

Jessizzle 03-29-2005 03:34 PM

Sewing for you must suck then.

Iron Bug 03-29-2005 11:17 PM

How many studs does it usually take to fill up a leather jacket?

Anarcho Poser 03-30-2005 01:15 AM

Who gives a shit? a jacket totally covered in studs looks rediculous.

1) Get residue free shampoo, it'll help alot. Wash hair before doing it.

2) Section your hair into inch by inch squares, or bigger or smaller depending on what size you want (it'll come out thicker than the sections of hair are), rubber band em.

3) Backcomb every section of hair (your mom probably knows what back combing is and can show your friend how, they did it in the 60's apparently, and mine did so meh), while slowly rotating the hair (but don't full out twist it). Use a metal comb or break like 5 plastic ones in the process.

4) Rubber band off the tips, melt wax into each dread with a hair drier.

5) For 3 weeks wash hair once a week by wearing a shower cap, and lathering up through that. You can rinse your hair whenever. After 3 weeks start washing it once every two or three days. USE RESIDUE FREE SHAMPOO. You can tell its residue free by smelling it, it shouldn't smell like soap it should smell like nothing. Sleep with panty-hose on. Clockwise rub your dreads every once and a while to lock them up more, and wax after every wash.\

ooooooooooooooor sell out and buy a dreadheadhq starter kit and it'll probably be much easier.

I'm planning on locking up myself later this week.
How many studs does it usually take to fill up a leather jacket?
why would you fill it all, just do a shoulder or shoulders. Or you can do down the arms. I dont own a leather jacket, but i own a denim jacket and studs didnt look good on that.

Nihilism'99 03-30-2005 09:18 AM

With a bit of space between the studs like 400 covered the back of mine. Studs on denim only look good on black denim.
