I usually play heavy-defense/low-casuality offense style in tactical games. Like in "Age of Kings" I would build a kick-arse city and strike out with trebuchets and catapults, supplemented by cavalry and archers for defence of the strike force. That, and the "castle expansion" strategy.

I'll likely play Gondor, or Rohan (for the Rohirrim).

Im a Rohan whore definitely. Easy to do rushes with against easy cpus, and then great for defending/attacking. Crush any troops, masses of keeps on the walls, then send off the hero/ent assault. I can do it without using normal units in attack now.

Though Gondor rule for sitting back and building up. Tower guards are uber.

I almost feel like I fit in now. Oh, and Ben, I got some practice in on BfME, and I totally kicked arse. Of course, it was only two enemies on easy (oddly enough, we were all Gondor... favorite people!), but hey. I ended up with three castles running full production. Tons o' resources. And full up to the max with troops. I [heart] summoning Rohirrim Allies, kinda like I [heart] Gandalf the White and Flaming Arrows.

THey can take a bit more damage, and are deadly early on. That, and they are cool temp scouts, what with their hiding in forests ability.

FIghting vs gondor with gondor can be tricky, especially if they have castles. Thats where isenguard pwns, mine up their base in a chain reaction.
