ramona flowers
god yes |
I think she had a thing for Michael Cera or some sheisse. I think its his cousin Maeby.
|
One day last week I was delivering mail and there was a magazine for like 25% of the houses that had MEW's face massive on the front of it. It was a pretty good day.
On a related note, I really enjoyed Abraham Lincoln vampire hunter today :) |
I heard it was good. I'll have to check the movie out.
|
What do you all think of my singlecut design?
|
But how does it taste?
not too bad really... |
That's pretty nice, Joe. I don't *love* the headstock, but I don't despise it either.
|
I made it like that to reduce stress on the nut by having the strings pass straight over it. What about it don't you like? Does it feel too small and wide?
Also, it should taste like Walnut (probably darker than shown) and flame maple (I could only find a good burl sample for mocking up, though). I'm glad it meets body-shape approval, though. It's hard to find a tasteful singlecut, IMO. |
Yeah, too small and wide is basicially it.
|
I worked with the headstock a bit more and I feel like this new shape suits it much better.
The rasta colors are just me tinkering around, although this is similar to how I would build it if I decide to do it because I would build it out of a bunch of dyed fence pickets. |
Yeah I instantly much prefer that headstock, the way the curve echoes the lower horn is really pleasing.
Single cut basses look strange to me but that's not anything to be bothered about. |
Hey Chris, check it out. You and your dream girl apparently have the same affinity for mailboxes:

Are you um, ahh. Memory issues.
Quatre? |
Well that was odd... was watching the new alan partridge series and there was an odd segment where Alan went to the hospital I work in, drove around the roundabout several times and then ran into the reception and then emerged with a handful of choc-ices.
|
Turns out I was a bit sloppy with that bass I mocked up. The bridge string spacing was supposed to be somewhere around 16.5/17mm, but instead ended up just shy of 20mm. I now have to decide whether to leave it as is and try to correct the mistake on my trace before I fully cut the neck, or if I should painstakingly make all of the autocad adjustments.
What do you guys think? In playing around with AutoCad, I don't think it's going to make a difference. Spread over the neck, it's mere millimeters, so I'm just going to ignore it and shape it exactly as I already have it. |
Guys, what beer should I brew next? I need to order ingredients asap.
|
I know I didn't give you guys too much time to respond, but I think I found the beer (kit) I want to brew
AHS Aramis Saison: A beer truly brewed out of necessity, the saison (French for season) was originally created as a refreshing beverage for farm workers. Saisons would keep the farmers refreshed and hydrated when potable water was scarce. Aramis hops give this saison a well rounded hop character with aromatic notes of citrus, herb, and fruit. Aramis Saison is the perfect companion beer for a day of yard work or gardening. It sounds delicious and like a perfect brew for August end-of-summer drinking. |
ive been drinking cask wine mixed with ginger beer for 6 months so anything would be nice really
beer is nice, make some berr... that was a typo, but it sounds funny so i left it |
