I really want the Cream reunion tour to come through Detroit. (It is a whole tour right?)

And I watched The Last Waltz today. That really is a great movie. The Band is really cool.
Wow! You are wrong!
Then, I haven't been here in a while. Sue me.

jpj 12-14-2004 06:50 PM

From what I heard it was just 2 shows in London :(

BludgeonySteve 12-14-2004 06:51 PM

We talk about Eric Clapton enough. We haven't for he past week or so.

magicbus 12-14-2004 07:56 PM

Lets talk about The Band!

Kreator2112 12-14-2004 08:09 PM

Badmoon 12-14-2004 08:35 PM

*Yardbirds. :)

Byrds > Yardbirds

Badmoon 12-14-2004 08:37 PM

Here is a fantastic, almost newer Classic Rock Band. But they are more so a Jam Band of course.

North Mississippi Allstars.

They plays a crazy form of the blues. I have one sample if anyone would care.

EDIT: Forget the sample as of now.

I have the DVD "The Band's last Waltz". It's awesome :thumb:. So many guests.

Kreator2112 12-14-2004 08:46 PM

i love all jam bands also. the dead, govt mule, allman bros. not so much phish but what can i do, everyone has the misconception that every metal head only listens to metal. i like alot more classic rock and prog rock.

BludgeonySteve 12-14-2004 08:48 PM

To be fair, most metalheads only listen to metal. But lotss of them like other music.

lunch998 12-14-2004 08:49 PM

Rock of Ages by the Band is great.

I think I'm starting to like Fresh Cream more than Disraeli Gears. I think Fresh Cream gets overlooked too much.

I am the exception to the rule, and so is gilmour.

jpj 12-14-2004 08:51 PM

I'm hoping to get Festival Express for Christmas. I was reading a review and it said that it had an LSD influenced jam with Garcia and the guitar player from The Band. Supposedly he was so stoned Janis Joplin was asking him if he was okay

Check out the stars

Look who you are asking.

Badmoon 12-14-2004 09:07 PM

Yes, it has great insight on the fans. Aswell, as some cool interviews and backstage shoots.

If I recall, they play
------------------------
Goin' down the Road Feelin' Bad
Stella Blue
Truckin'
Sugar Magnolia
Eyes of The World

That's all I can remember

jpj 12-14-2004 09:08 PM

Sweet, I hope I get it so I don't have to spend my own money.

clown_phobia 12-14-2004 09:09 PM

i have a question: were jeff beck and jimmy page also in the yard birds? if so they would have been an awesome band!

jpj 12-14-2004 09:10 PM

They were in The Yardbirds, but not at the same time. I believe it went Clapton, Beck, Page, but I'm not sure.

BludgeonySteve 12-14-2004 09:11 PM

Yes they both were. And yes, it was a great band.

Led Zeppelin were the new yardbirds.

Badmoon 12-14-2004 09:12 PM

Actually I think they were in the band at the same time. Because Page played bass for them at a time. Meaning Beck was playing guitar.
