Or just tell me which recordings are the best.
Thorns on the Black Rose rules hard.

Stevie 08-22-2009 12:31 PM

its news to me this but maybe not you arse candles; varg is working on a new buzzum album

illmitch 08-22-2009 12:46 PM

if you're looking for raw BM, Ildjarn is the place to start IMO

Angmar 08-22-2009 01:16 PM

Basilisk tbh

illmitch 08-22-2009 01:18 PM

ildjarn is like the foundation of raw

Angmar 08-22-2009 01:19 PM

Yeah but I don't like them so it's only natural I'd suggest something else. :p

illmitch 08-22-2009 01:20 PM

hahaha yeah they can be an acquired taste. i hated them at first.

Angmar 08-22-2009 01:23 PM

His albums are just too much idk, like I could see myself maybe enjoying it more or trying to acquire the taste but most of his black metal albums are like an hour long which is just waaaay too long for that kind of music hah.

illmitch 08-22-2009 01:25 PM

yeah. there are like 25 songs and they kinda get samey. i don't know, personally it grew for me after a few tries. i'd recommend returning back to them later.

gregulus 08-22-2009 03:09 PM

From what I've heard of Ildjarn, the compilation with most of his early demos on it was better than Forest Poetry. Hardangervidda is probably his overall best.
its news to me this but maybe not you arse candles; varg is working on a new buzzum album
Yup should be interesting to see what he does.

Angmar 08-22-2009 04:01 PM

I do kinda like Ildjarns ambient stuff, it's simple but it's nice.

gregulus 08-22-2009 04:17 PM

The only thing I would change about it is maybe adding some different instrumentation. If I remember correctly, most, if not all, of Hardangervidda is sort of repetitive keyboard.

RetiredAt21 08-22-2009 04:55 PM
Basilisk tbh
Agreed. Band is 666% krieg.

QTpie 08-22-2009 06:08 PM

thread needs more rahu

RetiredAt21 08-22-2009 07:24 PM

I'm skeptical but you've never steered me wrong.

Angmar 08-22-2009 08:40 PM

Rahu rules

Txus 08-22-2009 11:14 PM

Any of you like Ashdautas??

They remind me of Bone Awl a lot, really solid stuff.

Countorus 08-22-2009 11:51 PM

Bone Awl is sweet, so i'm sure i'd like them

RetiredAt21 08-23-2009 05:06 PM

At the Ellipse's Arc ftw.

Niflheim II 08-23-2009 05:09 PM

ashdaustus/bone awl toured in US recently and was all scene kids apparently

RetiredAt21 08-23-2009 05:10 PM

Unsurprising considering that Bone Awl seem to attract hipsters and whatnot. Not sure why, though.

Niflheim II 08-23-2009 05:16 PM

cuz they hipsters themselves

Txus 08-23-2009 05:16 PM

Because they are PUNKZ

RetiredAt21 08-23-2009 05:17 PM

I've never seen what they look like so I dunno.

nator 08-23-2009 05:17 PM

because of the internet

RetiredAt21 08-23-2009 05:19 PM

Just googled them, major hipsters. Drummer almost has a Misfits hairstyle, but gay.

gregulus 08-23-2009 05:19 PM

The bands that become popular in those circles are sometimes out of place. See: Burzum and Bone Awl.

nator 08-23-2009 05:19 PM

are you going to stop listening to them now

RetiredAt21 08-23-2009 05:20 PM
are you going to stop listening to them now
Agreed, not Brenoritvrezorkre enough.

nator 08-23-2009 05:20 PM

you're agreeing with a question

RetiredAt21 08-23-2009 05:22 PM

Totally baked brah.

Nepenthe 08-23-2009 05:22 PM
you're agreeing with a question?
now youre questioning an agreement

iamtherobots 08-23-2009 05:23 PM

Bone Awl's good, a bit generic, but who gives a ****?

RetiredAt21 08-23-2009 05:23 PM

I wish other ppl liked Brenoritvrezorkre so I had some1 to talk about dem wit.

Niflheim II 08-23-2009 05:25 PM

http://disgraceland.blip.tv/

LOL wow look at that crowd

upload me that demo of brenzorkirte i have vemperaybe i think thats it its sickening sick when ****ed up on stuff

gregulus 08-23-2009 05:26 PM

Well, you can talk about Brenoritvrezorkre with whomever you would like. Most of the responses would be ones of confusion. If you happened to find someone who had actually heard of them, though, then the responses would largely be ones wondering why you have such a hard-on for that band.
