I'm sure they will. They played a version of Fireworks/Essplode with this 5 minute long interlude between the bridge and the last chorus... amazing.
I'm really glad they played that. Totally made up for the lack of Bluish. If they did play Bluish after I left, fml

There was at least 5,000 people in that show it was ridic

Tokyo Police Club was standing right behind us until my friend freaked them out

5000 people?? Wow, there were no more than 500 people at the House of Blues Show in Boston. (okay maybe 1000)

They really only played around 8 or 9 songs altogether, not including random cacophony between songs..

Awesome show though!

yeah i'm not too worried about it cause i know the guy who booked the show and he said he's working really hard to get everybody in, it's just that the venue is an hour away, so if i get turned away it's gonna be a long drive home

YourBiggestFan 05-19-2009 08:15 AM

just drink a beer outside of the venue in front of the entrance. that way they'll know you're 21.

kitsch 05-19-2009 01:52 PM

i used to try that with cigarettes when i was 15 before going into gas stations
didnt work

Matt? 05-19-2009 01:59 PM

what songs did AC play?

i'm excited to hear fireworks

kitsch 05-19-2009 02:34 PM

Smoking at gas stations is always a good idea.

Time 05-19-2009 03:58 PM

I once saw a guy in the winter using a lighter to open the cap on his gas tank since it was frozen shut, almost screamed at him

Liebensaft 05-19-2009 04:47 PM

Well, as long as it doesn't make a spark. A cherry on a cigarette is a constant spark. Either way, not the brightest idea.

sweboy 05-19-2009 04:50 PM

i have two words for you: zoolander gasoline fight

Time 05-19-2009 05:38 PM

i see people smoking outside of gas stations all the time. its kind of commonplace in my area.

YourBiggestFan 05-19-2009 11:49 PM

i hate when you hear a song and you're like 'i know this other band did a song that sounds just like it' but later when you go listen to all your cds you can't find 'that song'. i could've sworn there was a mark kozelek song that was just like owen's sad waltzes of pietro crespi

asdf 05-21-2009 12:38 AM

I hate when that happens. It happens to me more frequently than it probably should.

pixiesfanyo 05-21-2009 02:26 AM

yeah, it always happens. worst part about giving too much of a **** about music.

YDload 05-21-2009 12:20 PM

im listening to that song now and it does sound like a kozelek song, but thats probably because it's just an acoustic folk song, and there's not many variables to set it apart from other songs like it.

and kozelek has done so many songs like that, especially his covers. but its a good song. pietro crespi was a character in the novel One Hundred Years of Solitude

Matt? 05-21-2009 01:37 PM

owen just sounds like a kozelek clone to start, but i was convinced there was a koz song that sounded almost exactly like that with the strings and everything...

but i don't know if there actually is one haha

Room13 05-21-2009 04:18 PM
