Late post but I love Dissection although I don't listen to them nearly enough. Didn't dig Sacramentum when I sampled them but this had to be the better part of a year ago at least.

Try Far Away from the Sun dude, if you dig Dissection and Emperor I don't see a reason you wouldn't like it.

Well just cuz it's symphonic black metal (i hate that term because there's no symphony involved) doesn't mean I'd like it. Nightside Eclipse (and Emperor in general) has such a unique riffing style as well as awesome production (rawer than your average musics but everything is clear and all the noises and **** actually produce a cool atmosphere that's not "my parents' garage").

As far as Dissection they're sweet but I don't think they're what you guys would call black metal?

Nah. A few months before I was going to get tickets Tom Phillips from While Heaven Wept decided to hand over his position as vocalist to Rain Irving, who really is not that bad. Seeing Tom live was the only reason I wanted to go, and after he did that I really didn't see a point in attending.

Sucks, but I'm really excited for their new album.

I had one of their albums but I deleted it when I deleted 3/4 of the music on my HD, I remember liking it though.

Good stuff if you're not a sissy. And steer clear of Eisentwinter's ambient stuff.

Oubliette kinda stick out from those bands. Even though they're completely raw, there's a melody that makes the music very beautiful. Not to mention some of the best shrieks ever.

Most the bands he listed are NSBM, and as you probably know most NSBM has horrible bedroom production. Oubliette's production isn't bad whatsoever, it's just very lo-fi and fuzzy. His drums are even programmed, but they're so buried in the mix you can hardly tell.

Austere's shrieks have a lot of effects, and I think the guy from Oubliette just runs his vocals through distortion and calls it good. I don't know if you can find any of his material anywhere since it was only realesed on cassette, but there's some uploads somewhere that I think Justin may have. Get either of his albums, they're both spectacular.

Everything I listed I have downloaded so I could upload it for whoever wants it.

Oubliette are really good.

oubliette is definitely one of my favorite black metal bands.
