I get your joke! It makes me laugh!

Riva 11-07-2007 06:52 PM

I get more than enough sunlight here, thank you. :p

If Qld brought in DST for the stupid, moronic, god-I-hate-them-so-much Brisbanites, then I'd be getting less, purely because I'm too close to the equator to experience a major shift in sunrise/sunset times.

Iluvatar 11-07-2007 06:52 PM

It makes it nighttime at 6pm around here.

Confuses me.

Charizard 11-07-2007 06:52 PM

Same here. I like it, to be honest.

Angmar 11-07-2007 06:54 PM

It is usually dark around 5:30PM here.

Deth 11-07-2007 06:55 PM

It makes me not want to do anything past 6:00 or so.

Transient 11-07-2007 06:55 PM

It's not dark till like 7:30 - 8pm here thanks to DST.

Nostalgia 11-07-2007 06:55 PM

Yeah. It's just about 5 now and it's nearly dark.

badtaste 11-07-2007 06:56 PM

Well, at least respect my right to live closer to the South Pole.

Permanent Solution 11-07-2007 06:56 PM

Yeah it gets dark 530 or so here.

It's depressing because I almost entirely missed the sun today :(

Nostalgia 11-07-2007 06:57 PM

It's been foggy and cloudy for the past week here, although it's usually like that all year round in Washington.

Charizard 11-07-2007 06:57 PM

Sunlight is for bitches.

Riva 11-07-2007 06:57 PM
It's not dark till like 7:30 - 8pm here thanks to DST.
When I went to WA, I was so confused. It was the first year of DST, and I would seriously think it was 5pm or something due to the daylight outside, only to find out it was closer to 9pm. :(

Iluvatar 11-07-2007 06:59 PM

I like summertime when its day till like 8:30 here sigh.

Yeah that happens to me as well. It's not supposed to be light at 8pm for Christ's sake.

gmoneyguy 11-07-2007 07:03 PM

I hate Daylight Savings.

Charizard 11-07-2007 07:04 PM
Yeah that happens to me as well. It's not supposed to be light at 8pm for Christ's sake.
It normally is during the summer in PA.

Transient 11-07-2007 07:06 PM

Yeah but I don't live in PA.

Iluvatar 11-07-2007 07:07 PM

AUSSIE MAAAAAN

I cant imagine it not being light at 8pm during summer. that would just suck.

Charizard 11-07-2007 07:08 PM
Yeah but I don't live in PA.
Yeah but I do live in PA.

Kage 11-07-2007 07:08 PM

I honestly haven't even noticed the effects of daylight savings.

Charizard 11-07-2007 07:09 PM

How close to the equator do you live?

gmoneyguy 11-07-2007 07:10 PM

It was conceived in the US for farmers. We aren't an agrarian society, so its stupid to keep doing it.

Transient 11-07-2007 07:10 PM

Not very.

edit: ok that question was not directed at me nvm

Kage 11-07-2007 07:11 PM

Further away than I used to a few months ago. I'm in southern California, so...

Charizard 11-07-2007 07:12 PM

That would explain things.
