Burzum for black metal material, Bathory's later material isn't comparable though.
|
I like Burzum more.
|
I like Burzum more, too.

Not really. Correct continent.
|
for Bathory get the first 5 and if you want more stuff that sounds like Hammerheart get Blood On Ice and Nordland I
Don't leave out Twilight of the Gods you fag. That's the best viking album. |
Burzum's s/t is pretty sick.
Never really listened to Bathory. What album would your recommend? |
The Return......
My personal favorite. |
I'll check out The Return and Blood Fire Death soon. Thanks.

only listened to it twice, the first time it almost put me to sleep and the second time was to make sure i wasn't just in a bad listening mood the first time through but it still bored me pretty bad |
Does anyone actually enjoy Rundgang um die transzendentale Säule der Singularität (the long *** ambient track) on Filosofem?
I mean, it's ok, but it just kinda drags the whole album down. |
its better than his black metal stuff
|
False.
|
False.
Backed. |

You sir need to change that! Title track is one of the best songs ever. |

Tomhet is one of Burzum's best songs. Don't like the one on Filosofem, would be good if it was half the length.
|
it's good to zone out
|
Both Gebrechlichkeit tracks are cool, but yeah...that one 25 minute song is just too long.
|
Anyone into Bilskirnir? Just got done listening to his split with Finsterwald and it was pretty good.
|
yeah he has some catchy stuff. its actually all right quality for nsbm too.
for victory we ride is his best work tbh |
Agreed.
|
yeah for victory we ride rules. i like bilskirnir a lot. to me they have a kinda epic sound which i dig.
|
Yeah, and it's rare to find a band with lo-fi production that can really create something epic. Kinda like Moonblood, but in a better way.
Revenge is an awesome song too. |
yeah i was gonna compare them to moonblood. love that band.
|
I always meant to listen to moonblood. Recommendation on their best work?
|
Blut und Krieg, Ron.
|
just got some fourth way 'indie' black metal stuff with dan deacon's touring drummer
they cite vlad tepes and nusrat fateh ali khan as influences wut |
haha that sounds...interesting
|
I've received the new Rotting Christ DVD (Non Serviam - A 20 Year Apocryphal Story) last weak... And it's a good one (and a good deal too, I've bought 2 DVD and 2 CD with a beautiful packaging for 12 euros :naughty:) ! The packaging is really nice, the show is great (with an excellent setlist : there is a plenty of "old" songs, so it's cool to hear this with a "modern" sound in live conditions) and there is the same show on 2 CD (with in bonus few tracks of a show at Larissa).
If you're a fan, it's a must have. |
I bought it when it came out. For some reason it was meditative listening to it while doing homework for school.
