My Favs are Red light in my eyes (part 1 & 2), Mask of Sanity, Downfall, Towards Dead End, Lake Bodom and well, all there songs are pretty much awesome...

Everyone's got their opinions, they're my favourite band in the world at the moment.

Laiho does resemble Chucky in some ways.

In every book or program I have about learning German most of the words always have something before them such as "der, das, die" etc. Are those required when using the word in a sentence or is it just standard to have them there when saying the word alone?

you use them as often as you use "the" in english; so, yes... you need to.

but it depends - f.e.:
Ich gehe in das Haus hinein.

Ich bin im Haus.

... but its the same as in english. you too say "i enter THE house" and "i am at home"
