How do you guys like U2's new album?
|
I've only heard Vertigo and Magic Drug. Meh. I was never a big U2 fan anyways.
|
I heard bits and pieces and wasn't really impressed.
|
I thought they were good, especially amongst a lot of the crap out there right now
|
Anyone want samples of Roy Harper?
|
Well I was thinking of Eric Clapton who doesn't sound that British and the same with Jack Bruce and Robert Plant and Bono, actually even when Bono talks he doesn't sound Irish
Well Robert was from the U.S. Though when he talked he did develop an english accent. |

Ok if I acctually thought he was born in US I wouldn't have made that up because I wouldn't have known. EDIT-It gives it away when Zeppelin was part of the British invasion. |
Ok if I acctually thought he was born in US I wouldn't have made that up because I wouldn't have known.

zeppelin is nothing to joke about man (plz excuse my user name)
Yes they are and your about the 173rd person with that user title. :p |
Anywho...
Is that a CSNY reference in your usertitle?
Yep. George likes to write drinking songs.:) |
"When I drink I alone, I prefer to be by myself"
I hate that line for some reason. |
He was a musical genius....
The early Beatles wrote every single song about love and basiclly sounded all alike. He wrote the most psychedellic songs. Oh and early Dead wasn't very good. Anthem of the Sun < Piper at the Gates of Dawn anyday hope you agree.
He was far from a genius. I cannot figure out why he was appreciated. And Anthem of the Sun is without a doubt better. And even if it's not (But it is ;)), Aoxomoxoa beats the shit out of it. |
"When I drink I alone, I prefer to be by myself"
I hate that line for some reason.
Then why did you quote it? |
"When I drink I alone, I prefer to be by myself"
I hate that line for some reason.
Probably cause that line is so stupid |
Then why did you quote it?
Because you said he makes songs about drinking songs, and that just popped into my head, so I couldn't help but post it. And it is an extremely stupid line. |
Because you said he makes songs about drinking songs, and that just popped into my head, so I couldn't help but post it.
No doubt. you ninja edited it:eek: |
He was far from a genius. I cannot figure out why he was appreciated. And Anthem of the Sun is without a doubt better.
