so... hitting F5 on sputnik isn't quite the same as it was.
amended. |
Oh yeah?
Yeah, Fender Tony Franklin sig. Excited for its arrival. |
Took a nasty fall in the terrain park on Sunday. The bruise I have on my hip is probably the worst I've ever seen (and certainly experienced). I'm half tempted to post the picture here.

Terrain park?
|
Terrain park?
It's the place with all of the jumps and rails on a snowy mountain. Kind of like this: |
Yeah what's a terrain park?
And realistically, I need a band. |
Did you edit a picture in before I replied? Sneaky beast.

I did not. According to the forums, you were about one minute behind my post. I need a band too. Got a phone call from a friend who has lined up some session work for me, though, so that's cool. I'll find out more details today. |
indeed! what's going on Nic?
Not much man, just moved back up to the Springfield area. How have ya been? |
Oh it's on a mountain. Makes perfect sense now.
I was picturing just like, a park. And then imagining another park with more, terrain? And like, wasn't working out. Extra... hills? But now I see. What's all that white powdery stuff on the ground? |
Coke.
|
Haha.
Funny fact, measured by the gram I have seen more cocaine in person than I have seen real snow. |
That's funny, really. You don't get any snow there at all, eh? There are a lot of Australians in BC who all love wintery outdoor sports.
Haha.

Clearly if you fell asleep at a party, you should have been doing coke, too.
|
Just got a text from my girlfriend that reads "We are excellent acrobatic sexers." I left for work almost 5 hours ago. I wonder who it was really intended for.

Yeah, right off my penis and chest. It was weird. |

Probably for you. If she was fucking somebody else she'd just tell them that in person. |

There's snow but not near Sydney, you have to drive for the snowfields up in the mountains. For simplicity we call them the Snowy Mountains. From my house, snow is about 6 hours away I think. |
After a week of scouring the internet for the best prices, I bought all the parts for an HTPC. By the end of the week, we shall be gloriously streaming movies and videos right to our television. Huzzah!

Anyone with electronics knowledge wanna help me out?
Trying to convert my old Behringer foot switch to work with my GK. The GK switches between boosts, and tuner mute. Am I right in thinking I need a SPST for the mute, and a SPDT for the boost switch? |
What does the Behringer ftsw currently have in it? What was it set up to do? Have you tried it on your GK?
You definitely want a SPDT for the mute so that you can direct the signal to ground instead of just cutting it. If not, you'll get a huge popping noise. I'd recommend wiring a 10M resistor across that mute switch as well. If there's an LED, you'll need a DPDT I can't really say what you'll need to do for the switching of channels, but I'm guessing another DPDT will work. http://www.mammothelectronics.com/category-s/32.htm Mammoth is the main place I go for pedal parts and especially footswitches (they even have some hard-to-find 4PDT switches for under $10! :O ) |
**** I'm ready for Spring break to start. This semester is really burning me out.
But on the plus side... I am taking a graduate class in Abstract Algebra come fall semester. Totally stoked for it. What's everyone else been up to? |
Run off my ass at work. It was crazy. We just finished a custom furniture sale yesterday. Ou store cleared $37k in 7 hours. Which was more than the rest of the stores in the province put together.
Otherwise, finally making headway on a new song after a 3 month dry spell. Should be done by the end of the week. And coming up in the home stretch of a self-enforced 2 week sobriety period. Just in time for St. Patty's. Perfect. |
The behringer was momentary, I need latching. Not too worried about LEDS, there's lights on the front of the amp for that. Just ordered two switches, should be here in 3 days.

There. Actually finished something for once. Come for the pseudo-guitar; stay for the shameless abuse of the pitch wheel. |

Eh, pretty good. The weather has been inconsistent and shit, but that's par for the course here, lol.
