Thesyre are really growing on me. Duality is good.

EINSIEG 12-08-2008 07:43 PM

Thesyre have great vocals, only a wuss would think otherwise.

RetiredAt21 12-08-2008 07:44 PM

I guess I'm no longer a wuss then. :p

EINSIEG 12-08-2008 07:44 PM

That was quick!

RetiredAt21 12-08-2008 07:47 PM

I don't love them.
I'm still awaiting both my Austere
The Australian Austere? I recently heard their debut full length, it was very average.

Nostalgia 12-08-2008 09:17 PM

Their full-length is very average. The first two songs are great but then the rest is garbage that suffers from horrible production.

Their split with Isolation is great though, even if Isolation's material is sub-par.

NP: Akitsa

rasputin 12-09-2008 02:13 AM

Yeah, I didn't like what I heard from Isolation either. It's a typical claim to make for both bands, but the yowling is really ****ing lame.

Nostalgia 12-09-2008 02:26 AM

Yowling is typical in DSBM. There isn't much on their new releases thankfully and the production is much better as well.

They have absolutely amazing clean vocals though.
With the recording of "Famine (or into the Bellies of Worms)" complete, it is now possible to state with absolute confidence: Hateful Abandon is England's finest, most unique new band. Dark pop, post-punk and a hint of black metal collide in dream-like anthems of deeply personal and lurid art. Hateful Abandon are genre-defining and totally unrestrained by any conventions.
Is this the Abandon you guys are fapping over?

Yeah I know, I just don't find it appealing in the slightest. I have the Isolation compilation released earlier this year, it was decent from a musical perspective but the vocals were ridiculous.

It is, except the band has changed direction a lot since the name change.

Tyler 12-09-2008 02:58 AM

but that's the new release you're talking about i assume?

Silenius 12-09-2008 01:45 PM
How so?
Very little black metal influence left.

AA-12 12-09-2008 02:39 PM

RetiredAt21 12-09-2008 02:39 PM

Yeah that's what stood out as incredibly gay to me.

Tyler 12-09-2008 02:39 PM

rattlehead42147 12-09-2008 02:44 PM
a pretty obvious genre
i've heard the phrase, i just didn't know what it was. picturing the cure gives me a good idea of how mediocre it probably is though.

Txus 12-09-2008 03:06 PM

The Cure are not mediocre you asshole

hismajestythepope 12-09-2008 03:13 PM
