lol jason stfu
No, I'm serious. Guy's a dickhead who shouldn't be instructing others on how to drive.
driving drunk =/= driving high
It's the exact same thing. Saying they're different is like saying murder != assassination.
Also. You make think your a better driver when your high, but thats you just being high, but i like driving stoned :)
Yeah but this is even worse, you know you're driving impaired, but you still do it. |
I THOUGHT U SAID U WAS MY SOULHUSTLEMATE
I AM BUT IM STILL GOING TO FITE |
no, they really aren't the same thing.
|
He didn't know I was high, he just happened to point out that I was driving better than normal whenever I was high.
|
Jason's hate list:
America Driver's Ed instructors |
no, they really aren't the same thing.
Explain how.
He didn't know I was high, he just happened to point out that I was driving better than normal whenever I was high.
Ok, then I take back all I said about him and apply it to you.
Jason's hate list: America Driver's Ed instructors
Ever since that American Driver's Ed instructor touched me ... I was just a kid, man! :( :upset: |
I try to limit my driving though. Like no more than 5 minutes away if that makes any difference...
|
no, they really aren't the same thing.
So? Even if driving high is easier you still are not going to be a good driver. Regardless of whether "you know how to do it right" you never know when you're high. Bottom line is you should stay off the road if there is a chance of endangering someone else. |
different chemicals = different influences on your body and mind
good ol' MX druggies vs. non-druggies debate doesn't go anywhere anyway. I think you guys all smoke much better weed than I've ever smoked or something because no one else seems to be able to function when they are "high". |
Jason speaks ultimate truths.
Okay, different effects, but you're still impaired. |
Jason have you ever been smoked pot before?
|
I never said I drive better, but in a situation where I am driving stoned, I can drive pretty normal.
|
different chemicals = different influences on your body and mind
It still influences you. Which is why they call it driving under the influence. And if you try to say that it has no effect on you, then why do you take it? |
Okay, different effects, but you're still impaired.
This! |
It still influences you. Which is why they call it driving under the influence. And if you try to say that it has no effect on you, then why do you take it?
Clearly I'm not saying it has no effect on me. Your argument here is like saying being angry and confused are the same because they are both emotions. |
Jason have you ever been smoked pot before?
Yes, and I didn't see the point. But this isn't about doing drugs, I don't proselytise about that. I am specifically arguing against driving whilst stoned or drunk.
I never said I drive better, but in a situation where I am driving stoned, I can drive pretty normal.
Yeah, I misinterpreted what you said, but even so it's still not a good thing to do. |
mx fights
lol |
Clearly I'm not saying it has no effect on me. Your argument here is like saying being angry and confused are the same because they are both emotions.
They both affect your ability to think rationally yes. Isn't that what I'm arguing about? |
or they can not effect your ability to think rationally
driving drunk is never a good idea, unfortunately it's something I've done my fair share of times. Driving "high" to people here seems to carry this stigma that I'm driving around with the munchies, geeking out and failing to notice the world around me, when that's simply not true. Driving drunk and driving high are not the same thing and no argument about "they're both influences on your body" is going to outweight the amount of personal experience I've had with each. |
or they can not effect your ability to think rationally
Umm, unless you think completely rationally while high (which no one does) then there is no reason for you to be on the road. |
or they can not effect your ability to think rationally
Oh ok. So you take drugs to be completely normal and have no effect at all? Seems like a waste of time/money. |
hearing these shitty arguments from pot users about driving under the influence is pretty god damn stupid.
If you are under the influence of a drug or alcohol, do not drive or operate anything that can harm your self or others.(especially when it comes to bringing other people into the picture) Is that hard to understand you fucking idiots? |
all I'm trying to say is one can maintain a sense of "rational" thought and acknowledge that a drug is in your system. Getting high doesn't mean getting stupid to everyone.
|
Let's just calm down, everyone. Let's smoke a bowl and go take a nice drive in the city nearing the time of rush hour.

Unfortunately in my half-brother's case it was him who was high. EDIT: It's like you're not even paying attention to what you're typing, Mike. Anyways, I'm out of this argument. I've got better things to do than hammer down circular logic. |
all I'm trying to say is one can maintain a sense of "rational" though and acknowledge that a drug is in your system.
Because, typically when someone is high they are still conscience and can think to a certain extent, but that by no means implies that their ability to make good decisions and operate machinery is going to be as good while sober! |
you live and believe things based on your experiences, and I live based on mine. That's what it's about.
|
I bet a bunch of drunk drivers think they're awesome drivers after a couple of drinks as well.
|
Yes, and I didn't see the point. But this isn't about doing drugs, I don't proselytise about that. I am specifically arguing against driving whilst stoned or drunk.
Well I asked you that to see if you are arguing out of ignorance. Unless you have actually been high, you really can't argue against it. There is no real testing being done on the influence on Marijuana and its influence on cognitive response, nor do you bring in any real evidence to support your argument. |
you live and believe things based on your experiences, and I live based on mine. That's what it's about.
So should I go shoot guns in random directions and and drive drunk since neither one of these has affected me personally? That's stupid logic. Fact: Driving drunk/high is absolutely stupid and anyone who does so deserves criminal treatment. And about the druggies vs non-druggies, look at my avatar. I love weed. Loving =\= abusing and being an idiot about it. |
you guys win
lol insanity |
you live and believe things based on your experiences, and I live based on mine. That's what it's about.
Yeah, whatever fine and dandy... But when you mix in the safety of others into the mix, that goes right out the fucking window. Jesus Christ, you people are thick. |
So should I go shoot guns in random directions and and drive drunk since neither one of these has affected me personally? That's stupid logic.
So what you are saying is our knowledge is innane?
So what you are saying is our knowledge is innane?
On this subject, very. |

I am preparing a .rar that contains full PDFs of 4 articles I found by searching ScienceDirect. These are from scientific journals that are moderated by peers, and all but one are final drafts (one is a corrected proof). They are: Long-term cognitive deficits induced by a single, extremely low dose of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC): Behavioral, pharmacological and biochemical studies in mice Marijuana use, risk perception, and consequences: Is perceived risk congruent with reality? Marijuana use motives: A confirmatory test and evaluation among young adult marijuana users Effects of THC on driving performance, physiological state and subjective feelings relative to alcohol Let me know if you're interested. |

But when you mix in the safety of others into the mix, that goes right out the fucking window. Jesus Christ, you people are thick.
Period. |
Plus, why would you wanna drive while high, anyway? I like to enjoy it to some extent, and having the worries of driving would make me hella paranoid.
|

Haha yeah. The only way to enjoy a smoke is relaxing at a house and watching TV or something. |
Yeah dude. I got high yesterday in the morning and I listened to Hvis Lyset Tar Oss. When Varg's vocals came in I swear it sounded like a bunch of black women screaming. That's what I thought was going on throughout the whole song.
When the keyboards enter I felt like I was floating too. It was weird. |
Oh wow is this argument actually happening?
lulz. |
