you're annoying me fat boi
|
statistics don't tell you everything, but they are factual and a basis
I am limited to my arguments because I don't really need to get past a certain point with most people, but if it happens, which it is now, I can actually learn something and I'm all for that I don't know any post modern theories |
Don't you have tinychats to be setting up brent.
Statistics factual  |
i really like the atmosphere in tinychat
|
you're annoying me fat boi
i'll annoy your anus if you know what i mean 'cause tbh i don't |
if you want me to backpedal fwanky I will and say statistics are factual to a degree
larger the sample size smaller the margin of error |
guys can we just agree already
:smash:
loooooooooool |

It's by no means a be-all-end-all theory or even a single unified theory, but just another tool in analysis. You're a real sharp guy, sometimes I think that because you don't like to associate with other people you don't get the broadened horizon of being around people with various viewpoints, and accept yours as gospel. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it can become limiting when faced with someone of equal or greater intelligence (not saying that I am/am not either because that's a silly comparison to make based off someone's strictly online personality) with a well-founded opposing viewpoint. |
if youre gonna start on SSRIs, don't drink. so if you're gonna drink tonight think about putting off your medication start-up until after you're over tomorrow's possibly inevitable hangover.

He also doesn't try and be condescending to other people on the forum because they like to do different things or have different points of view to nurture his insecurity or whatever the reason you do it is. |
fucks up your liver
|
You're 18 right? I'm not sure what SSRI you are on, but I've been on Zoloft, Pristiq, and good ol' fashioned Prozac and in late adolescence (late teens-early 20s) there is a known risk of suicidality by use of those drugs, by adding alcohol to the mix you are increasing that potential since alcohol is a depressant and in effect works opposite your medication.
oh and Effexor too. |
Finding people who are more intelligent or equal is pretty hard, yeah but I do judge the fuck out of people, and facebook is a good medium to do that. Commonality is the only thing that matters with others, without it there is no reason to communicate. Of course we're all human and that is an implied commonality, but other than that you can get into culture, interests, etc. which are found on facebook
He also doesn't try and be condescending to other people on the forum because they like to do different things or have different points of view to nurture his insecurity or whatever the reason you do it is.
im more abrasive than condescending and I am because I've always had that proverbial chip on my shoulder because most do not utilize critical thinking, such as you. You're 20 and dont exhibit it as far as I've known. You're good at cooking and food though, more knowledgable |
the only people i've ever known who have killed themselves were drinking while on SSRIs.

I know people talk down on business degrees, but once you get into grad school you ARE going to find people of comparable intelligence levels. Facebook is a great medium to judge people, but it doesn't detail the true personality, but rather the person's idea of their personality which is 99% of the time far more LOL than the reality of the situation. |

my friend who an hero'd did so because he was bipolar and his girlfriend called him while fucking another dude :( it's freaking weird, three years later and i still randomly cry about the kid |
You give brent far more credit than he deserves.
He believes because I don't like to get involved in his circular arguments that therefore my advocacy skills in law are poor. |
what a bitch
sorry man :( luckily for me i had no emotional connection to the people i knew, they were fellow patients at a hospital and acquaintance. |

With people like him you have to learn to appeal to their own knowledge set and get your point across by masking it in your appeals. It's just about patience. |

You're mostly not worth arguing with about anything, you are a smart person but you're also incredibly dense because you've found a set of principles to hold onto and morph that cater to your lifestyle. Just because I haven't taken philosophy classes doesn't mean that thinking and observation isn't a part of my daily life, I just use it in a way that is vastly different than you do. |

A lot of people have long run out of patience to do this though, you're a fairly new reg to R&M, brent has been this way pretty much since he started posting on mx, but he became a lot more condescending and abrasive since he got the ego boost of loosing his v. |
im not getting an MBA because I'm lazy and I would think people getting one are too focused on their career
plus I do not want to take more goddamn accounting, finance AND stats classes FUCK THAT |
and guys, you still have yet to comprehend my complex half-serious nature
EVERYTHING IS POINTLESS |

I lurked for a while before I started posting, also I am surrounded by people that will never agree with me (living in the bible belt but being a left atheist that gets kicks out of saying shit to evangelicals like "well i'd rather be born against than born again.") so i'm used to having patience with people that are hard to get through to. If you think Brent is bad you should meet my dad. |
my dad is a lot more close minded, not even close
religious people will always have more close minded pov because they have a burden of proof which they cannot justify with evidence |
I giggle everytime the acronym pov is used
my 2 cents |
yes, when i use it in a non-porn context it feels wrong
