Do you guys know if it's possible to have 2 separate itunes libraries?

Eliminator 06-04-2008 07:14 PM

isnt that what like

playlists

are for

Angmar 06-04-2008 07:17 PM

Well I have to share this computer with a few people in my family and would rather put my 30some gigs of music in a separate library so they wouldn't have to dig through all of my music to find what they want and stuff.

Riva 06-04-2008 07:27 PM

Maybe if you used Winamp you could do it.

Silenius 06-04-2008 07:29 PM

Winamp is for koala lovers, not elite black metal.

pate 06-04-2008 07:30 PM

Winamp is lame. Tornadoes are annoying.

Angmar 06-04-2008 07:30 PM

Nah I decided I'm just gonna create a new account for myself on this computer.

Eliminator 06-04-2008 07:31 PM

i agree winamp is lame use foobar

Tyler 06-04-2008 07:31 PM

That'd be easier.

You can have multiple libraries, but as far as I know it involves a lot of importing and exporting and is very easy to start mixing **** together, especially if you or anyone in your family isn't particularly tech savvy. They may have come up with an alternative, though, I'm not sure.

Riva 06-04-2008 07:36 PM

Tornadoes are indeed annoying, but I don't see what they have to do with a music player.

And right now I am a bit grumpy with winamp cos I updated to the new version and it isn't compatible with both my skins; The Wall and Super Mario Bros NES, despite claiming it is backwards compatible.

Txus 06-04-2008 07:40 PM

rythmbox is the way to go

linux ftw

Apocalyptic Raids 06-04-2008 09:37 PM

josh thats the newest FOFR i think

Ghoul Hustler 06-04-2008 10:04 PM

My computer rules but I use foobar because it is great and iTunes is giving me griefz

Angmar 06-04-2008 10:05 PM

Does Foobar work with Ipods? I've been having trouble with Itunes, the sound on it is rather skippy sometimes.

Also is it easy to use/figure out/is it a RAM hog?

Deth 06-04-2008 10:07 PM

Ima give Foobar a shot soon for fun. I quite like iTunes, but hopefully Foobar will be even better.

It's also my birthday :)
