Ludacris is okay.

TheDMV 02-19-2006 11:08 PM
I was afraid you were gonna say that. Oh, well.

Who here likes the ghetto stuff more than the "intelligent" stuff? I know I do. Ludacris anyone?
I like the more relaxed stuff, from the 80's and 90's, but anything that makes me want to dance is awesome.

Good luck finding anyone other than me who can agree with you. This is a forum of people who can recite a Blackalicious record word for word but won't dare listen to something that actual black people listen to.

Moses 02-19-2006 11:10 PM

Well old school is really great, but I'm talking newer stuff.

I just think Ludacris has some of the most rediculous lines ever.

"Cause I drop **** like birds, and it's about the time for your *** to get served"

Kingofdudes 02-19-2006 11:12 PM

 I wonder when I will stop seeing that every other day

TheDMV 02-19-2006 11:12 PM

Yeah, I was talking about the new stuff that you can dance to. I've noticed Sean Paul churns out great dance music. And I can't forget the Ying-Yang twins:

I like Eminem over most of any rappers, just because I'm gay and stuff

God yes.

nobodyblossomsforever 02-19-2006 11:14 PM

How about Young Jeezy?
I like Eminem over most of any rappers, just because I'm gay and stuff
Me too!

Oh. :upset:

I hate Ludacris, because I'm bitter about being tricked into buying all his albums and they ended up all sucking except for the singles. Nelly is my favorite black rapper, other then Ice Cube and a few others.

As queer as this sounds, Rocha will always be my favorite rapper, even though he's a rock-rapper and not a pimpin' gangsta.

Jacaranda 02-19-2006 11:20 PM
I hate Nelly and I love Ludacris.
Oh my! Country Grammar has to be one of my favorite rap albums, I'm not into the underground crap much. Busdriver and the Roots are about as far as I go, and I dunno Ludacris has weak albums and he put "Alanta" as a hidden track. Which was my favorite song of his.

Illmatic 02-19-2006 11:21 PM
As queer as this sounds, Rocha will always be my favorite rapper, even though he rips off Chuck D but sounds like a 12 year old white kid.

though Public Enemy is good too

TheDMV 02-19-2006 11:23 PM

I can't dislike Nelly after such fm radio staples as: Must Be the Money, Gettin Hot in Here, Grillz, etc.

np: Mr. Tambourine Man

I'm sorry, but it's the damn truth.

TheDMV 02-19-2006 11:26 PM

There are better white rappers out there than Zach. Paul Wall is not one of them. And yes, I think that Bradley Nowell is.

edit: actually, paul wall is pretty good. I just think he's a fat slob

Country Grammer is also one of my favorites but that's the only thing from Nelly I've ever enjoyed. I hate pretty much everything since then, and the new single is just an atrocity.

I like the underground stuff too but I'm around black people more often than not so the popular stuff is what I hear and I like it.

Ludacris' best song is Southern Hospitality.
There are better white rappers out there than Zach.
He's hispanic.

nobodyblossomsforever 02-19-2006 11:27 PM

I guess I'm not into the kind of rap you guys are into.

(i just think rocha has a unique powerful voice =\)

I actually think I knew he wasn't black. :( I guess I was referring to Ill saying he sounded like a 12 year old white kid.

I don't think you really like rap at all, no offense or anything.

Actually Paul Wall is an embarrassment, the whole Houston scene is just a joke.

(except Scarface but he's a vet, he's been in the game for 15+ years)

I haven't heard it. I haven't listened to new radio or watched MTV since the last time FOB performed on MTV :P, I'm falling behind on pop culture.
And now that I look I like Nellyville better then Country Grammar.

The last song I liked from Houston was the Mike Jones and Ying Yang Twins - Badd. So catchy.

TheDMV 02-19-2006 11:37 PM

Is Chamillionare from the Houston scene? My friend and I were making fun of him the other day.

Jacaranda 02-19-2006 11:37 PM
Is Chamillionare from the Houston scene? MY friend and I were making fun of him the other day.
Ya him and Paul used to be pals but something and something later and they hate each other.
I think its cause Paul ditched him for Mike Jones.

Illmatic 02-19-2006 11:39 PM

Chamillionaire is Houston, Lil' Flip is Houston, all those clowns are Houston.

Maybe Chamillionare was too thin, and he wanted to hang with more chubbos.

Everything about Mike Jones is funny.

Zack's good at being a really pissed off communist. That's about it.
