This chick sounds like a ****ing psycho from all the stuff you've told us about her

ninjamonkey 04-03-2008 02:48 PM

Hence her being my ex now lol

It's too bad she turned out to be this way tbh

I'm leaving in 30 minutes to go to Charlotte and see Nile

NemesisDivina 04-03-2008 09:21 PM

Almost went to see Nile with Unexpect...

Then I realized Unexpect would be playing a really short set and I wouldn't even see all of it.

Daven 04-03-2008 09:25 PM

that sucks

NemesisDivina 04-03-2008 09:33 PM

Yeah and Nile by themselves aren't really worth driving all the way out there...

Daven 04-03-2008 09:36 PM

how far was the show?

NemesisDivina 04-03-2008 09:48 PM

45min-1hour

Daven 04-03-2008 09:50 PM

ahh yeah, nile isnt worth it driving 45 min.

NemesisDivina 04-03-2008 09:54 PM

Or paying $20.

:p

ninjamonkey 04-04-2008 12:30 AM

Well, it was a great show.

This was my second time seeing Nile. It was interesting to see how much more popular Nile has become in the past few years. And also how much more money they have. They now switch guitars nearly every song and they have their own techy who tests all the equipment and sets it up for them. haha

Unexpect was very interesting, as expected, and their female vocalist was very good looking.

The Faceless were sh!t, as expected.

Warbringer was some fun old school-styled thrash. Good stuff.

I almost went to that, but I'm not a big enough Nile fan. Jaxx isn't too far from me though.

masscows 04-04-2008 08:26 AM
45min-1hour
Yeah, Jaxx is very close to my home. But I'm in South Carolina right now, so I went to the show in Charlotte. It was a 1.5 hour drive

Tyler 04-04-2008 09:40 AM

suckers

RiceMonster 04-04-2008 10:02 AM

I usually travel 45 mins for a show, and I can usually take a train that will cost me under 10 bucks Canadian 1 way. I don't remember the exact price; I think it' about 7 bucks.

Tyler 04-04-2008 10:04 AM

6.50 for GO Train, 8 for GO Bus. That's probably what you take.

pate 04-04-2008 10:13 AM

I have to go 5 hours for shows, which is why I don't go to many.

ATM 04-04-2008 10:14 AM

I usually drive 20 minutes to DC :)

Yeah, that's what I take. I didn't say GO Train, because unless you live in Southern Ontario, you probably won't know what it is.

Angmar 04-04-2008 10:36 AM

It takes a 1 1/2 hour car drive and a half hour ferry ride to get to Seattle where all the shows are for me.

:-/

RetiredAt21 04-04-2008 11:02 AM

I can get to a terrible local show in about 15 minutes.

Ive driven 2 hours to Richmond and 1 1/2 hours to Philly for shows before. I don't really do that anymore though, its hard enough to get out of the house for a local show these days.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-04-2008 02:36 PM

yeah, i drive about an hour to philly for shows a lot
