Yeah, I watched Art Attack religiously when I was a nipper.

the_uber_penguin 02-23-2006 03:44 AM

If you get the Art Attack Annual 2001, it has a picture of him (Neil Buchanon) with make up and playing a guitar solo.
Ahh touche...

I thought I already hit 6,666...weird.

Neil Buchanan is like a childhood hero of everyone in the UK, if I had to choose between him and H, I'd probably cry... :p
i thought you'd already hit 6,666 as well. oh well, maybe a big thread got deleted.

-The Frank 02-23-2006 07:08 AM

So......Iron maiden announced some tour dates on their website.,.....

ashman 02-23-2006 07:30 AM
Due to Production considerations there will be no support act on the first two tour dates in Denmark but on all the other dates Maiden have confirmed up and coming US band TRIVIUM as their special guests.
NOOOOOO....FFAF would have been better....

/sigh

Ugh...I'm not too much of a fan of Trivium, If they supported them over here, I'd be like, "play that one song you have that's pretty good, then piss off!"

Still, It's going to be awesome when the uk tourdates are announced.

I'll go to the gig nearest where I'm at uni, then go home and go with my mates from home.

-The Frank 02-23-2006 08:02 AM

ill probably end up missing them, unless they play in China or i buy a $400 dollar ticket to japan :(

Apocalyptic Raids 02-23-2006 08:32 AM

They bloody better come to Australia.

the_uber_penguin 02-23-2006 09:34 AM
Cool, I might send some naked pics of myself to his daughter :p
Can you send them to me first?

suicidalducklings@hotmail.co.uk

K-thanks.

crag 02-23-2006 10:00 AM

Knowing my luck none of my chums will want to come with me:angry:
Knowing my luck none of my chums will want to come with me:angry:
Aww...

I'll go with you if I go to Uni anywhere near you.

Sent.

I hope they play Sheffield, it's about an hours drive away, so that'd be cool. I'd have quite a few mates to come with me this time, unlike last time when it was just the 3 of us, so if there's a troublesome guy in the pit, we can kick his arse instead of hiding behind some women like last time :p

They should have got Edguy or someone like that to support them

the_uber_penguin 02-24-2006 11:37 AM

You didn't actually send them, right?

Because thats not my address...

*Scared*

EDIT: Just got your email.

Lord Abortion 02-25-2006 11:56 AM

I hope someone awesome supports them in the UK.

NP-Gamma Ray-Anywhere in the Galaxy

crag 02-25-2006 03:22 PM

I don't really mind who supports them, obviously i'd prefer someone good but in the end of the day i'm there too see Maiden and having to listen to some crappy band is a small price to pay to see Maiden.

Of course, but it would be nice all the same, I have put up with an entire festival of crap to see Maiden and I also had to put up with Funeral for a friend

ugh, Funeral for a friend, the rest of my band want to do a cover of one of their songs. I suggested a Maiden cover but the other guitarist hates Maiden:angry:

Lord Abortion 02-25-2006 04:22 PM

He's a huge fag, then.

if it's december when they tour the UK, and in the 2nd half, we should be home from Uni already. if not, it's all of 12 minutes on the train from Durham (assuming i get the grades and go there) to Newcastle.

Lord Abortion 02-25-2006 04:57 PM

Yeah, it shouldn't be too long from Scotland for me, whichever I end up at.

Josh 02-25-2006 05:00 PM

yeh. it'll actually be easier for me to go from Uni than from home. don't have to worry about lifts.

in other news: my 11 year old brother came home from shopping with his mates with a NOTB shirt.

Lord Abortion 02-25-2006 05:16 PM

That's awesome.

My brother only has a Maiden wallet.

:jealous:

blackthorne 02-26-2006 01:18 AM

man i was on holiday for 2 weeks and no maiden!!!!

:jealous:
he looks quite funny though - he got a Small sized shirt and it's still far too big for him. i was quite surprised my mother didn't have a go at him for it, usually she gets annoyed when he "wastes" his money like that.
man i was on holiday for 2 weeks and no maiden!!!!
haha. i couldn't cope with that. when i did my 11 days hiking in the alps last year, with only a 128mb mp3 player, i only had the RiR versions of Blood Brothers and Wrathchild to keep me sane! it worked though.

-The Frank 02-26-2006 04:21 AM

^^ how old is your brother?

wrathchild88 02-26-2006 04:39 AM

Even if they do tour the Uk, I don't think I'll be able to go because I'll be going to Uni in September, and I still won't have any idea where i'm going by the time the tickets go on sale  .

I hope you're not mocking my girth are you :p

I'm in bloody london for some reason, been drinking with loads of Danish guys and went moshing to The Trooper at this club called theh Purple Turtle last night, was an experience I won't be forgetting anytime soon.

There's loads of dirty mini moshers done here, was the only one in a Maiden shirt yesterday...bloody trendies

-The Frank 02-26-2006 06:21 AM
