It was in a folder called "music," which I copied over accidentally with a new folder full of my music, and I clicked "replace."
Thought I've personally never used it, here's something that will hopefully work: http://diskinternals.com/
Thanks man, but it doesn't work for Macs.

oh ****, that sucks. I wish I could help, I say pretend like you don't know anything, and play dumb...but you're too good for that, so I doubt you'll do it

JonM 08-17-2005 10:41 AM

No, I would never do that. She'd never fall for it, either. I feel like a piece of shit.
I feel really terrible. I was giving my girlfriend tons of music for her new computer since she's leaving on Friday, and I accidentally copied over a folder that contained some two hours of recordings of various musical events at her camp, which she just worked at for the last time, and was trembling with excitement about. It's gone. I don't know what to do.
See, I looked at one similar program, and it said that recovering files deleted in the usual way, intentionally or unintentionally, was impossible in a UNIX-based operating system. I mean, I have no idea if that's true or not, but what they said sounded convincing.

ZEROthirtythree 08-17-2005 11:02 AM

Im uploading stellar over you sendit, so at least give it a shot

JonM better log back on. I didn't download limewire, then download the program, and then upload it on yousendit, for myself. I don't even use a mac.

JonM 08-17-2005 11:52 AM

Whoa! I'm back! Thank you so much!

I've noticed that ever since I bought a pair of American Eagle jeans, I've been getting 3 emails a day promoting new AE items... They sure are sneaky.

I just got back from an hour long trip to the dentist. I got to have three cavities filled while listening to bad adult contemporary music. Joy.

ATM 08-17-2005 08:38 PM

Adult contemporary music always makes me laugh, and then people look at me wierd.

Zappa 08-17-2005 08:39 PM

Today I did some driving, then came home and listened to David Bowie, then sat on my ass, then watched TV, then did some recording.

I hate dentist music. Hey, I'm having cold steel instruments shoved intrusively into my mouth, why not throw on some Phil Collins and Celine Dion to fulfill the experience??
