Pros/Cons of a kit facing towards a wall?

I always found it made my bassdrum sound huge.

Then again, it was a solid granite wall. Presumably has a different effect for different materials.

always thought putting a kit next to a wall limited your options in set up, since you cant really add anything.

I have lost all faith in my ability to tune snare drums.

I'm somewhat decent at toms i guess, but snare drums are very very hard for me for whatever reason.

just tune the batter as high as it can go thats wut i do and it sounds good
