Is it that old? :\

Hah, '97. Hmm. I think I remember it coming out, but maybe I'm thinking of Johnny English. (no i don't mean the second bean movie)
I dont remember if it was '97, but it is at least 6 to 10 years old putting me in the 9 to 13 year old range.
Oh, well I know a few laugh tracks might be that way, like Happy Days. But you can tell the difference between canned laughter and live laughter.
Why can't you just accept my goddamn useless fact.

Riva 08-21-2007 05:29 PM

I remember the first Bean movie coming out. It had the little guy from Numb3rs and Ally McBeal in it.

EDIT: COS IT IS ONLY A HALF-TRUTH, JELLE

superpeer 08-21-2007 05:31 PM

Why don't I make your teeth a half truth

Bartender 08-21-2007 05:33 PM
who else loves the pogues? I'm pissed because I didn't get to see them when they were here, and I'm sure by next time MacGowan's dead.
I think that every time I see them play somewhere, but he just keeps on living and they always come back.
I loved the moive when i was younger and I still find it really funny. I guess I would love the series then.
It's a lot quieter than the film.

iamrockzorz 08-21-2007 05:34 PM

Anyone into idiot pilot? Their new cd wolves is pretty damn good.

Email me @ shenanigan509@msn.com

if you want.

Tyler 08-21-2007 05:35 PM

Shane MacGowan never dies, but he does get kicked out of the band bi-annually it seems.

It was better when he never talked. My absolute favourite Mr. Bean skit is the public pool with the high-dive board.

superpeer 08-21-2007 05:36 PM

Well, I hope they come back and that my friends are not too faggy to come along then.
It was better when he never talked. My absolute favourite Mr. Bean skit is the public pool with the high-dive board.
I like the skits where he's inventive. Like making his sandwich from stuff in his pockets or getting rid of his dinner in a restaurant.

Or making christmas treats!

EDIT: no! my favourite is the one in the hotel, I think. Ah heck, I love them all.

Bartender 08-21-2007 05:47 PM
It was better when he never talked.
Well he rarely talks even in the film, but that, and fact that the only other major character was a teddy bear.
My absolute favourite Mr. Bean skit is the public pool with the high-dive board.
Don't think I could choose. That one is especially good, but then I remember the New Year's sales, the turkey, decorating his flat, going back to school.. there's an awful lot it's up against.

I've not seen it in ages and now I want to watch it :(

Riva 08-21-2007 05:56 PM

Haha.

When he "believes the test specialises in trigonometry" and it turns out to be full of calculus questions. And he spends the entire length of the exam trying to cheat off the guy before finding out the trig questions are on a sheet underneath the calculus ones.

EDIT: I have all the episodes on video, but they're back home. :(

That one and the TV reception ones are my favorites.

Oh, and the one where he loses his car parking ticket.

Riva 08-21-2007 06:03 PM

That's on the end of the public pool skit. So classic. That poor 3-wheeler Reliant. :p

GenuineImitation 08-21-2007 06:04 PM

I really want to see the series now. Was it ever released in America?

Angmar 08-21-2007 06:06 PM

I've gotten seasons from video places and such.

GenuineImitation 08-21-2007 06:07 PM

How much were the seasons?

superpeer 08-21-2007 06:09 PM

I'm gonna watch it right now, they're pretty easy to find online, GI. I'm watching it online.

The best joke is when he can't sleep and takes a picture of a bunch of sheep, starts counting, loses count, takes a calculator, counts a line vertically, counts a line horizontally, takes the calculator, multiplies the numbers, looks at the result, goes 'Ah!' and drops fast asleep.

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-21-2007 06:09 PM

haha oh man, I just watched that movie Evolution with the coolest black guy ever and David Duchovny. Then also a hilarious cameo by Sarah Silverman before she was all popular.

That movie kills.

erm..that was speaking of movies with characters that are in other movies

Angmar 08-21-2007 06:10 PM

 I remember that Peer.

And just go to Hollywood Video or something, it should be cheap.

pate 08-21-2007 06:11 PM
probably not an iPod then.
Mine is 15G and an iPod. It's like a 1st gen one or something though.

Nostalgia 08-21-2007 06:11 PM

lol lee's poor.

Riva 08-21-2007 06:11 PM

Hehe, that is an awesome one. Rowan Atkinson is such a great comedy writer. I love how well he captured and then exaggerated the idiosyncrasies of everyday people.

Angmar 08-21-2007 06:12 PM

Yeah, Evolution is an awesome movie.

"Wait I've seen this movie before. The black guy dies first."

Oh damn, then that thing was a friggen goliath back in the day huh?

Yeah srs, I think Orlando Jones might be the coolest blaxploitation actor ever.

I shall do some searching in a bit then. Im off to go get myself some dinner. Bye for now

Deth 08-21-2007 06:16 PM

I love Evolution, but I don't think anyone I know has seen it.

Yeah. Although Blackadder is probably his best thing and he only co-wrote the first season, there.

Angmar 08-21-2007 06:18 PM

Blackadder is amazing.

Eliminator 08-21-2007 06:20 PM

Evolution was terrible.

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-21-2007 06:21 PM

don't be a elimih8ter

superpeer 08-21-2007 06:21 PM
Blackadder is amazing.
Sure is. One of my favourite shows ever. A level above Mr. Bean, tbh! Although Mr. Bean is also awesome.

Txus 08-21-2007 06:22 PM

****, MSN is not working for me :(

Sup guys.
