I just downloading The New Pornographers' Massive Romantic and it sounds pretty darn cool at first listen. Anybody else familiar with this band?

I really dig The New Pornographers. "What's wrong is everywhere" was on some tv show the other night and it freaked me out.

I've only heard a couple of songs though.

Listened to a lot of stuff today; Elliott Smith, Tomahawk, Neil Young, The Faint.

Nice, the Wildhearts. I think this makes you the third person I've found who likes them here.

Listened to some Damien Rice and RHCP today. Starting to like this new guy named Tyler Hilton, has a really awesome voice that is very uncommon. His voice is very deep and sounds awesome with the acoustic guitar. Look him up, he is pretty good. Two of my favorites by him are When It Comes, and Glad.

Also Ihateusernames, Elliott Smith rocks.

I love Minus The Bear. The album, "Highly Refined Pirates" is really bloody cool.

Yeah, I've listened to that album three times now and I really dig it, great stuff.

They make me wanna jump around, but in a really happy way.

I've been diggin on Circle Takes the Square still. It's weird that their songs would get so stuck in your head. I have found myself singing various songs at different points all through the week. Best album of the year, I say again.

Been digging Kyuss today. I picked up [I]And the Circus Leaves Town[/I], and it's been rocking me nice and hard. Which is good, because I've been getting a bit under-rocked lately.

Also been into Eskimo Joe, The Pogues, and the Smiths.

I've been listening to a fair amount of Autechre recently.

Some of it is really messed up...

Today, I was mostly enjoying AFI, Lacuna Coil, and Morrissey.

Today i've been listening to The Commodores, a load of classic rock (Thin Lizzy, Free, ZZ Top etc.) and a bit of The Smiths.

Been listening to a nice mixtape of the Shins, Kings of Convenience, Yo La Tengo, Belle and Sebastian and Rogue Wave. Particularly Rogue Wave though.

I seriously have never been this impressed with her before. It took me like 3 years to get used to her music (even though I liked a few songs here and there), but it is today, my friends, that I am in love.

I've had the new Sparta in my cd player the last few days...also Manitoba-up in flames (really cool cd), hopesfall, and tom waits.

check out the songs; I've lived on a dirt road all my life, hendrix with ko, bijoux, and skunks, for a good taste of the album Up In Flames.

Dan Snaith (Manitoba) was in town a few months back, but i missed it. Hate when you get into bands right after they play your city, especially where i live. the music is kinda reminiscent of boards of canada if you've heard them. less experimental though. - peace

Kid of like a more noised up and subtle Morphine. Think Sonic Youth mixed with Morphine, and you're [I]kinda[/I] on the right track.

They are just called Blues Explosion.

They've dropped the "Jon Spencer" part for their new album.
