boredom killer
"Blood Meat" is sweet.
Has anyone here wasted their time playing FFR on their MySpace? I almost beat "Blood Meat' like three times. It's pissing me off because I came so close. >=[
That game is lame... I think I played it once for like Turn Soonest To The Sea or something like that. |
like i said, boredom killer
|
like i said, boredom killer
I guess... There are so many other things I could use my time on though... Why not play actual Guitar Hero or Rock Band? |
i dont know...im on the computer a lot, lol :smoke:
|
Why not play actual guitar
|
That reminds me, I gotta go get a 9volt for my guitar.
|
Why not play actual guitar
True that. |
Because Guitar Hero gives you a false sense that you're actually playing music well if you can play on Expert (like me).

That really is sad. There were people talking in guitar store the other day and they sounded like they were talking about how good they play guitar, but then I listened more and found out they were talking about Guitar Hero... |
Yeah, I can't play guitar for crap, but I can play guitar hero.
I can play drums and keyboards well though, and I'm a vocalist in my band. |
Why not play actual guitar
do. |
I read in the new issue of Revolver that Protest The Hero is like the Muse of metal. I found that interesting.
|
That was a pretty forced comparison though. They stole that from Rody; he once compared them to Muse, just in theory, because Muse has the ability to throw in a shitload of arpeggios and the like and still remain catchy as ****.

Oh I see. Rody is right though. And both bands own. |
For sure, I'm sure they'll take the comparison, hah.
|
They need to release Bloodmeat for Rock Band.
|
that would be great fun
|
I could say Sequoia Throne on that too.
|
I enjoy the vocals on Bloodmeat more than any of their other songs, that's why I said that. I have Bury The Hatchet on Guitar Hero II though, that is fun.

Haha I'd like to see people sing like Rody karaoke style. They'd either make fools of themselves or just sing an octave down. |

I'm up for the challenge! I did Iron Maiden's Run To The Hills, so I might be able to pull it off. |
Rody's stuff is much harder to pull off than Run to the Hills.
|
O snap. I tried Wanted Dead or Alive and pussed out. Everyone laughed at me bad memories...
Edit to Coke - I don't remember how much Bruce Dickinson actually sings in his high register, he probably just screamed the high notes. |

They both sing quite high, but Dickinson does falsettos which are a bit more difficult. Of course Rody can scream though. |
Um, falsettos are easier than singing high in your regular voice, which Rody does on Bloodmeat. Dickinson sings almost exclusively in one octave, one rage, with one falsetto. Not saying Rody is a better singer but I'm saying Rody's melodies and range-changes are much harder to sing.

Yeah, that sounds about right. He does a bit more variety. |
It's really hard to transition between his ranges, a lot harder than it sounds. Add in the growls and screams and it gets really really hard, hah.
|
rody's stuff is much harder to hit, being a singer, i can tell you that much is true
|
Yeah I end up using falsetto once in awhile if I'm singing his stuff. Of course I'm out of shape these days. *Uses old geezer voice* "In my younger days..."
