Why not try it? Its not hard.
Well i find it hard. but i have been playing for only bout 5 months without a single lesson. if i try hard enuff i can play it. i have played it once before(minus the solo) All of the metallica solo's sound near impossible for me to play. i guess that just means i suck eh?

Crocto 03-06-2004 01:25 AM

i've been playing for 4 years and i can play maybe 4 or 5 metallica solos. of course i only get to play like 10 minutes a week.

KirkIsKing 03-06-2004 01:35 AM

i can play alot of the rhythm guitar parts for metallica. just not the faster solos. i can get the slower ones pretty good though. like the first 2 in one and first solo on fade to black.

kickflipskaterguitarist 03-06-2004 02:43 AM

Personally i think Fade to black is metallicas best song-----along with master of puppets and sanitarium. The one thing I want to know, Is Metallica going to bring out another album?
I hope they do but st anger was definatly thier worst(although it was mad it was no match for thier old stuff)
Does anyone know?

Burdcheese 03-06-2004 10:04 AM

Well Its supposedly ridiculously hard*, and they don't do it very often.

*According to a drum tab i read it has a 14 tom roll

KirkIsKing 03-06-2004 10:18 AM
i know nothing bout drums man. is 14 tom roll alot or what?
Your standard drum kit has 3 toms.
An average metal kit has 6

14 is a lot

SlaveToTheGrind 03-07-2004 05:49 AM

KirkIsKing 03-07-2004 09:59 AM

Joeeddstealschickens 03-07-2004 11:24 AM

SlaveToTheGrind 03-07-2004 11:42 AM
ok thanks for clearing that up... i also think lars isnt good enuff to play 14 toms. maybe Bonham...
yeah or dave lombardo

Joeeddstealschickens 03-07-2004 12:41 PM

I started on Blink covers in my band,so i've really only got better as the band got better (we were all f**king useless whan we started).I've been mainly concetrated on my songwriting, which is pretty **** good, even if I do say so myself! But if you want to start out on Metallica songs then good luck to you,it could well push your ability to develop quicker than the fretboard majesty of Tom DeLonge did for me!

jono1 03-07-2004 12:48 PM

metallica rules

SlaveToTheGrind 03-07-2004 12:50 PM

no. metallica ruled

superpeer 03-07-2004 02:55 PM

The earlier albums still exist , so Metallica still rules.

Joeeddstealschickens 03-07-2004 03:06 PM

metallica ruled, then they released Load, now they rule again

blacklock 03-07-2004 03:44 PM

i like 'one'. yep.
