How big is Newcastle, Bart?

/lives in town(lol town) of 2,000

The only thing offered here are mariachi bands for hire. :-/ :confetti:

Vince doesn't count, he's the whitest Latino in the world.
tell me about it...
where do you live BTW? near The Toon ?
Yeah, Gateshead. Not far from evilmenhavenosongs, I believe. Saying Gateshead generally confuses people though, so I always say Newcastle.
Sure thing, sorry.
Thanks.

Short answer: I'm not really sure.

There isn't really a longer answer.

ATM 07-14-2005 07:09 PM

Is it wrong that I like the Vines?

Bartender 07-14-2005 07:11 PM

Yep.

trev913 07-14-2005 07:11 PM

Okay, totally pissed off right now...
I just typed a review of Anathema's "A Natural Disaster", a sprawling review, might I say. Not the best I've ever typed, but a good one. Yeah, sputnik must have lost my login info or something while I was typing, cause my review just lost itself...

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-14-2005 07:12 PM

@Bart-210,000 people

Go google! Well, that's a lot bigger than my town, so yeah, it's not quite big enough to pull many acts in, I'm guessing.

I'm thinking of going to the NIN conert in Seattle with Madey in September, but I don't even really like NIN, but I just want to get devirginized...I mean, Iv'e never been to a concert. :inconspicuous:

blue3 07-14-2005 07:12 PM

No.. I don't like the Vines though

ATM 07-14-2005 07:13 PM
Yep.
I can't help it. They have some catchy songs.

Bartender 07-14-2005 07:14 PM

It's not really a bad thing. I own an album of theirs myself, but I don't like it much.

Which is exactly why you should type reviews out in text documents before attempting to post them.

You've learned for next time, I suppose :-/ You won't do it again. But that happening always sucks.
Is it possible to be a fanboy of several bands? Like, I'm a huge fan of a bunch of bands, but I'm not sure if I can be...
Of course it's possible! I'm the same way.

ATM 07-14-2005 07:17 PM

I'm probably borderline fanboy of Radiohead. Then again, if somebody doesn't like them, I don't whine and moan about it.

RCA 07-14-2005 07:20 PM

Oh, that type of fanboy. In that case, it might be a problem.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-14-2005 07:20 PM

Chris, I've seen your scrob. You must be a Radiohead fanboy. :amaze:

Oh, and if that is the defining feature of a fanboy, then I am not a fanboy. Whoo!

ATM 07-14-2005 07:21 PM

I am enthusiastic about the band, but I don't demand that everyone likes them.

RCA 07-14-2005 07:23 PM

That means you're just an avid fan.

Kingofdudes 07-14-2005 07:23 PM

Im always late to get into the "albums that *everyone on mx loves" First "Art of Life", Now "()". I've been getting into a lot of new bands lately. Luckely I will have my own computer in a week to store all the MP3's on.

*almost

ATM 07-14-2005 07:25 PM

You should check out Pink Floyd, they are pretty hot right now.

i am the robots 07-14-2005 07:28 PM

Yes you do!
Yep.
What a rediculously long post, man.
Is it possible to be a fanboy of several bands? Like, I'm a huge fan of a bunch of bands, but I'm not sure if I can be...
That's totally cool, dude, your choice. It's not like your a whore or anything for really likeing a whole bunch of different bands instead of one. Whore.

RCA 07-14-2005 07:48 PM

Trevor, how's your band doing?

Riva 07-14-2005 07:58 PM
Civil War Talk: Blah blah blah My country never had a war.

Cain's childhood: I friggin' loved dinosaurs as well, man!

Anyways, my girlfriend took some photos of me in B&W, for a local competition at the fair. She pretty much wins every year, but she said that she might not this year because she rushed the pics. I think she's just being polite and that my ugly face is ruining them. :-/

Anyways, I'll upload them for you.

The second one just goes to show how awesome she is, being a PF fan just like me! :D
Bump for you guys.
Morning. Good luck with the going out.

I'm listening to an audio recording of the haka.
Kumate Kumate Hah Hah!

In other news, I have a day of rest before I am off to work tonight, and a first aid course all weekend.

ATM 07-14-2005 08:00 PM

Argh, I am seriously bored. Being on an island is cool, but not for this long.

RCA 07-14-2005 08:01 PM

Which island are you on?

ATM 07-14-2005 08:04 PM

Marthas Vineyard, off the coast of Massachusetts. So many stuck up rich people here. I want to be back in DC going to shows.

RCA 07-14-2005 08:08 PM

I like that island; been there many times. Tasted any wine since you've been there?

I've not listened to it it ages, but when I do (like this morning) it's generally a fair few times over. It's impressive just for their sheer volume, if for no other reason (though there are in fact other reasons).

Solomon Burke - None Of Us Are Free

Nope. I did drink some Brandy.

Where are you from?

Originally, Boston.

It's a war chant. They have many different hakas, and it is a common form of verse used by most polynesian tribes.

Coolest thing ever: When Samoa plays the All Blacks. Two simultaneous hakas!

I knew the meaning once... It's like: cloud burn, fire rain, we will win!

Have you seen them doing it? It's very impressive.

Steerpike 07-14-2005 08:27 PM
Bump for you guys.
You look like you should be in film noir.
Kumate Kumate Hah Hah!
I'm a little lost. What song are you referring to?

i am the robots 07-14-2005 08:28 PM

I think Numa Numa... God, why did the ghetto culture have to find out about it? It's so annoying now, it's been around for ages...

Shred Danson 07-14-2005 08:29 PM
Trevor, how's your band doing?
We're doing pretty good, thanks for asking... got three songs down, working on more riffs.... Not QUITE ready to play shows, but can't wait for that... but we're defenitely going to play out of state a lot (Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana), since there's not a lot of local venues here for metal bands. My drummer and I wrote a pretty badass riff that reminds me of the song "Black Sabbath" and recorded it onto my laptop with Soundrecorder ( :p ), I could upload that for y'all if you like...might take a while with this dial-up. You know how this computer is...constantly screwing me over :( .

Haha, I looked at my usertitle and thought I was banned.

ZING!
