I've got the soundtrack to the Blues Brothers 2000 movie. Great stuff.

The Louisiana Gator Boys > Everything.

That Bonnaroo DVD was great. Great set of musicians.

jpj 12-12-2004 03:52 PM

A Bonnaroo DVD would be awesome. Do they have several or just one DVD and who all was on it?

Badmoon 12-12-2004 04:24 PM

They have a couple.

On mine there was...

North Mississippi Allstars
The Allman Brothers
The Dead
Tortoise
James Brown
Flaming Lips
Leo Kottke & Mike Gordon

My Morning Jacket
Sonic Youth
Widespread Panic
Medeski, Martin & Wood
Antibalas
The Roots
Yonder Mountain String Band
Ben Kweller
Scratch

That sounds great, I should get one of them.

Illmatic 12-12-2004 04:46 PM

Other than Jack Johnson, that's a great lineup.

MC5 12-12-2004 05:27 PM

Most of the people at my school like classic metal and glam.Black Sabbath,AC/DC,Twisted Sister,Motley Crue. I only know two other people that are really into classic rock. My favorites are The Rolling Stones,The Stooges,The Frost The Nazz Led Zeppelin.Mostly garage and psycadelic stuff.

He's one of the best on the list IMO. He perfects harmony between him and his band. I love his album On and On. :)

I want that DVD (mainly for just the big headliners, but i'd watch and enjoy the others).

Badmoon 12-12-2004 07:10 PM

They only play one song from each band. But the whole thing is interesting.

Highlights
-------------
Flaming Lips
The Dead
Jack Johnson
robert Randolph
Nickle Creek
James Brown

Against Miik! 12-12-2004 07:18 PM

Jack Johnson is good.
it would be better with the other jack johnson
...the old boxer?

Creedence Clearwater 12-12-2004 07:22 PM
...the old boxer?
No, well yes, that would be cool, but even more cool would be the large black blues guitar man

Illmatic 12-12-2004 07:23 PM

Right.

There are too many Jack Johnsons.

jpj 12-12-2004 07:24 PM

That sucks that they only play one song from each. I think that would end up just making me angry.

clown_phobia 12-12-2004 07:25 PM

what does everyone think of Eric Clapton?

I'm not a fan of his more recent works, but everything else is wonderful.
what does everyone think of Eric Clapton?
I don't like him as much as most do, but he's pretty good.

clown_phobia 12-12-2004 07:31 PM

cool! I think I might get something of his... possibly The Cream of Clapton and/or Eric Clapton Unplugged.

BlitzkriegBop08 12-12-2004 07:32 PM

during this entire thread have the ramones been mentioned once
during this entire thread have the ramones been mentioned once
Because they suck.

BludgeonySteve 12-12-2004 07:39 PM

Claptoon unplugged is a must have.

BludgeonySteve 12-12-2004 07:40 PM
during this entire thread have the ramones been mentioned once
We destermined that they were classic punk. Not rock.

lunch998 12-12-2004 07:41 PM

For Clapton you should get into Cream, Blind Faith, early Yardbirds, Derek and the Dominoes, or John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers. But I guess the Cream of Clapton would be a good place to start.
