You are weird.
Everything costs too much, the only rides worth going on have long-ass lines, and you're surrounded by screaming kids and fat tourists.

Other than that, it's a blast.

MBS 07-14-2005 01:32 PM

I did this thing once where I got to spend the night in California Adventures and the whole Boardwalk section was open for us to use. I went on California Screamin' (the best ride at California Adventures) 7 times in a row.

Disney World is sweet, I went to all 5 parks.

Jom 07-14-2005 01:34 PM

Cedar Point owns, because it's close to home. I don't think someone from say, Nevada making a trip to Ohio to go there would have as much fun, though. The novelty would probably wear off, I'd imagine.

magicbus 07-14-2005 01:41 PM

What's the difference between Disney Land and Disney World? (besides location)

I've been to the one in Florida, but that was a loooooooong time ago.

ATM 07-14-2005 01:57 PM

I'm with Ray on this one. I do like amusement parks, but usually everything costs so much and the lines are so long.

Disney World has four separate parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, MGM, and the Animal Kingdom. It's also got Downtown Disney, and three other waterparks. There are a couple of cool hotels there too.

Lunch 07-14-2005 02:31 PM

I used to get Season Passes to the 6 Flags around here, and go on cloudy Tuesdays. Long lines avoided. and The season pass was only about 50$, so after two visits it already paid for itself.

Usually the lines are too long or the park is just too crowded and annoying to warrant going to them though. Disney World is fun when you're little, but I don't think it would have much appeal to me now.

ATM 07-14-2005 02:32 PM

Exactly, I enjoyed it when I was younger, but I would probably be bored out of my mind now.

RCA 07-14-2005 02:40 PM

If you don't mind missing the Super Bowl, go to any theme park on Super Sunday and long lines will be avoided. We did this the year the Giants and the Ravens were playing, and we went to Busch Gardens in Tampa. I went on Montu about five times in a row without having to wait. :D

Lunch 07-14-2005 02:41 PM

Good deal, that Superbowl was horrible.

RCA 07-14-2005 02:48 PM
Good deal, that Superbowl was horrible.
Yeah. I didn't much care for the teams in it, so I decided it wouldn't be so bad if I missed it.

'Twas a good trade-off. :)

the2stranger 07-14-2005 02:53 PM

it's 28 degrees celcius here, and it's 11 in the evening.
meh, way too hot.

how is every one coping with the heat?

That's an awesome idea. My parents usually are opposed to things like that, but if I proposed something like that, the fat tourists could be avoided.

Christ, another name change? RCA, I'm going to assume, right?

Jom, I'm thinking about getting my name changed to Hot Carl. What do you think?

RCA 07-14-2005 03:00 PM
Christ, another name change? RCA, I'm going to assume, right?
You are correct. I decided to have it changed to the name I use on other internet forums.

I don't really like it though. Way too many Tool fanboys there...Go figure. :

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-14-2005 03:22 PM

I had the same dream, except I didn't care b/c NIN is overrated. Ha!

Illmatic 07-14-2005 03:23 PM

NIN > Tool

Permanent Solution 07-14-2005 03:23 PM

 indeed!

How come you're not on metal-rules?

So I went to the dentist earlier the afternoon and there was a typical 35-40 year old man waiting. Then his mobile rang for 3 seconds and the ringtone was Black Sabbath's Paranoid. Moments later he was talking with the doctor saying how much Sabbath rule and how the mainstream press gives a hell of a lot credit to Ozzy while Iommi is the mastermind. Oh and there is no problem with my teeth

Speaking of ringtones, is there a place where I can get them for free? :-/ I want a Tool ringtone so that if I ever meet Ray and Vince, I can annoy the hell out of them.

Cain 07-14-2005 03:29 PM

****.

I was late to my babysitting job, sped too high trying to accelerate past some slowpokes, and got a $201 speeding ticket. What a ****ing waste of money.

Permanent Solution 07-14-2005 03:30 PM

I'd just make you turn off your phone, or else I'd break it :p

And what a secksy n3rd I am. ;)

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-14-2005 03:33 PM

Then I would tell La Migra that your green card is fake, and you would get deported.

Wait, I need Lunch to back me up.

:shifty:

Cain-How many mph were you over the limit by?

Except I have my SS card :p

Lunch 07-14-2005 03:39 PM

Wait, what do I have to do now? Deport some Mexicans?

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-14-2005 03:42 PM

Ha! Yes, and I will pay you 7.99 for it. I saw a mic at Wal mart for that much. It was on sale!

Lars Ulrich- wtf?@ your user title

ATM 07-14-2005 03:43 PM

I've gotten a 500 dollar speeding ticket.

Lunch 07-14-2005 03:44 PM

Good news, I now have 3$. So if you pay me for the mic, I would still have enough to buy ice cream or something.

Oh, and are you referring to me when you say Lars Ulrich?

magicbus 07-14-2005 03:45 PM

I only have a dollar. :upset:

Expensive Buddy Guy shirts...

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-14-2005 03:47 PM

Chris- Were you like..In a rocket or wtf? That's a crapload of money.

Lunch- Yes, I was. Lunch looks like Lars Ulrich from far away.

Lunch 07-14-2005 03:47 PM

My user title is from an Incubus song, Redefine to be exact. SCIENCE rules.

Illmatic 07-14-2005 03:48 PM

I've gotten some ridiculous speeding tickets to.

And I have bad blood with Incubus

Lunch 07-14-2005 03:49 PM

Everyone has bad blood with Incubus. Personally, I only really enjoy their early stuff, and every now and then I like some of their other stuff.

Illmatic 07-14-2005 03:55 PM

Naw, I have personal reasons for not liking them.

Lunch 07-14-2005 03:57 PM

Which are?

Illmatic 07-14-2005 03:59 PM

I don't mean to emo up the thread, but an ex-girlfriend of mine was a big fan of them...I liked her a lot but found out she cheated on me, so I had to break it off.

Yeah...
