Robert Wyatt's Old Rottenhat. I like his stuff more and more as I get more of his stuff. MORE 'n' STUFF.

Otisbum 12-18-2006 03:52 PM

Top 3 'digging' at the moment:
1. Gatsby's American Dream (rec. songs - We Can Remember It For You Wholesale / Theatre)
2. Dream Evil (rec. songs - Children Of The Night / Fire! Battle! In Metal!)
3. Children Of Bodom (rec. songs - Hate Me / Are You Dead Yet?)
That's about it.

EDIT: And I've been trying to get into Neutral Milk Hotel lately.

I love you but I've chosen darkness

I love this album, but sometimes I hate it. It depends on if i'm willing to really listen to it.

Totally. The International Noise Conspiracy even followed Ian Svenonius' lead when he formed The Make Up. I mentioned that awhile ago in a thread in punk, but NoU's still too under the radar for anyone to care.

M. Ward - Post-War

This is awesome. I'm so torn about whether to see him or not.

bleep_bloop 12-18-2006 06:26 PM

i didnt see him when he came but my friend went and she told me that it was an amazing show. i dont regret it though, im not a big fan of his stuff.

br3ad_man 12-18-2006 06:28 PM

I want to go so bad. It just costs $40 and I don't know if I can afford it, especially with so many other good things coming up.

bleep_bloop 12-18-2006 06:30 PM

whaaatt?!? it cost like $15-$20 dollars when he came here. where is he playing?

br3ad_man 12-18-2006 06:33 PM

Brisbane, Australia.

It's not exactly an outrageous price for a show over here, but it's still a lot.

bleep_bloop 12-18-2006 06:35 PM

oh

i meant, like, the size of the venue or whatever.

_Mote_ 12-18-2006 06:37 PM

I saw the English Beat for 40 bucks.

I thought that was fucking crazy, but I got to chill with them after the show.

br3ad_man 12-18-2006 06:38 PM

Oh. The Zoo. It's pretty small. A lot of indie bands play there.

bleep_bloop 12-18-2006 06:43 PM

oh, thats odd. must be the exchange rate.

_Mote_ 12-18-2006 06:55 PM

Are their any other bands playing, or just him?

bleep_bloop 12-18-2006 07:01 PM

im pretty sure he usually has guests on stage, or at least he did here

Zmev 12-18-2006 07:07 PM

10,000 Maniacs - In My Tribe
10,000 Maniacs - Blind Man's Zoo
