Endless Obsession 06-25-2005 11:53 PM

Its all about cigars. Phillies and Milds are all I smoke(andweed). Also the occasional menthol cig is good, so are camel exotic blends.

I smell the forming of a new clan here in MX.

Me= Batman
Eleventeen= Robin
RCA= The Joker.

Oh yes.

On Topic:

Haha, I love it when you Brits announce you're going for a smoke. Here in America, the sentence "I'm gonna go smoke a fag" just makes us teenage American post-adolescent boys giggly.

ATM 06-26-2005 12:03 AM

At least they don't call them skin flutes or something. Now THAT would be hilarious.

RCA 06-26-2005 12:04 AM

Gotta find a Joker avatar now.

"Could I bum a fag? I've got a terrible 'abit!"

But yeah, I really didn't mean to smoke a cig...it just kind of happened. It had been a long time, too. :-\

the only thing that come to my mind was sex.
then a laugh.

Dancin' Man 06-26-2005 12:08 AM

On topic - Ray - did you smoke a menthol ciggarette?

Almost on topic - At dinner my dad made a hilarious comment. I was asking my brother a question about his friends that play instruments and what they play. Because of they're little fag-fad (I mentioned this earlier) my dad piped up with "The play the skin flute"
Neither my mom nor brother heard it but I did and was laughing for a solid 5 minutes.
On topic - Ray - did you smoke a menthol ciggarette?
So what, you think that I smoke menthols because I'm black?

And yes, yes I did. :-\

Knew it. I am on a role with black stereotypes tonight.
That's awesome.
I love my dad's sentiment atgainst these poseur gay kids. He has no problem with gays (did ballet in college and therefore knew/was hit on by numerous gays) but he thinks (and is right) that pretending to be gay is rediculous so he likes to ridicule my brother's firends for that.

Illmatic 06-26-2005 12:28 AM
Knew it. I am on a role with black stereotypes tonight.
Yeah, but unlike last time you were actually right

Also, why is pretending to be gay so popular in New York? It usually gets you an ass-whooping where I come from (well, maybe not, but it ain't a fad).

Dancin' Man 06-26-2005 12:43 AM

I live in an old hippy town. Most of these kids parents are hippies and that is part of it. I don't understand it. I considered being gay for a few months a few years ago and decided that if I was I was but I probably wasn't. These kids go out of their way to be gay. Meh, in the end they'll all decide they're straight.

Why do black people smoke menthols? And what is the difference between menthols and not?

/never smoked a ciggarette and not planning on it

Holy shi/b]t I'm tired. I've been up for the last 4 hours wasting time on MX so this file transfer can finish. 600 mb of music from some guy that's been taking from me for months. He just offered to return the favor and told me to go through his album list and tell him what I want. Onlt half an hour left but I think I quit and am going to bed. Ray - I expect an aswer about the menthols in the morning.

Illmatic 06-26-2005 01:24 AM
Why do black people smoke menthols? And what is the difference between menthols and not?
To quote the Chappelle's Show skit, "I Know Black People!"

Host (played by Chappelle): "Why do black people smoke menthols?"
contestants: "Uh...I dunno"
(ding!) "That is correct!"

There you have it...no one knows.

And I think menthols are supposed to be...minty? But I can't tell a difference.

Anyway, I'm out for the night. I'll probably just be crashing on the couch with my woman because there's AC in the living room and it's too damn hot everywhere else.

Drugstep 06-26-2005 01:27 AM

I've only had one cigarette, on the last day of the school year a few weeks back. It was menthol, and it was damn good.
12Ounces - You live near the Jersey Shore? Are you completely loaded? I spent 2 weeks there one summer for an aunts marriage and everyone seems so insanely rich. My whole extended family lives in Jersey (mostly around Morristown) and my parents used to live there too but now we're in central New York.
Where near the jersey shore are you talking about? I live in a town called Toms River, which is right next to seaside, and seaside is a total dump (i mean medical supplies wash up on shore every couple of years), toms river while it is a bit expensive, since it isnt really a shore town since we still have to cross a bridge to get to the beach (although its like a 5 minute drive), so it isnt that expensive of a place to live.

I do however wish i was loaded.

Riva 06-26-2005 04:20 AM

Well, in reply to the maddening talk of Radio Stations, my local classic rock station pwns all your bases. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Barnes, Tom Petty, Grand Funk Railroad, Van Halen, America, The Who, AC/DC, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Tesla, Slade, Skyhooks, Rod Stewart, the list goes on.

In other news, the UK trip is off. Sorry. Looks like I am not going to have anywhere near enough money.

Bartender 06-26-2005 05:57 AM

There's always next year, I suppose :-/

Riva - sorry for not responding on MSN, but I basically didn't know what to say.
I live in a painfully conservative area of England, where the average age of people seems to be about 55 or so. :-/ Homosexuality is not looked upon with favour, to say the least
I also live in an are made up mostly of old people, but it's in the north so it's been strongly Labour since.. forever, I think. I've never had chance/cause to find out how people in the are view homosexuality, though.

Taste_My_Scythe 06-26-2005 07:46 AM

Hello. Just downloaded some God Forbid songs...good stuff. I think I'm an official Cradle of Filth fan now, thanks to Lord Abortion and whoever the hell else uploaded Cradle of Filth songs on the YSI thread.
Today I'm going to my Italy-Picture-Viewing-Party with family and friends. Should be fun. I'll probably stay on my cousins guitar the whole time, but that's ok. Gives me practice on an acoustic.
Last night I had a revelation. I'm going to double check and MAKE sure that Bodom is coming into my area in October, I'm going to beg on my hands and knees to be able to go.

Anything interesting going on?

You live in Leeds correct? I live quite close to Leeds and my area is very alike to that

Bartender 06-26-2005 08:11 AM

Nope. I just go to university in Leeds.

Lord Abortion 06-26-2005 08:19 AM

hey folks, I made an arse of myself yesterday...
my guitarist didn't quit at all, I just misheard him, and I got invited to sing for his other band, in a more rock band, doing velvet revolver and led zep covers...

keeping in both bands will be fun cause they are so different
