I can't listen to the tracks (Myspace blocked at work) but I wholly approve of this kind of things. Inverted crosses? bat wings? sounds great. Must add cobwebs though.
i have no idea why i did not instinctually add that to the first logo =/ i feel unelite now

mappy, i edited so the songs can be put on profiles :-*

Myrrhman 08-14-2008 02:57 PM

the low vocals are awesome get rid of the others

Pete 08-14-2008 03:08 PM

idk, i like the shrieks as well, and the variety suits the song(s) in my humble opinion

obv everyone isnt going to share my opinion but i'm used to that =]

Myrrhman 08-14-2008 03:11 PM

idk they sound a little weak tbh

Pete 08-14-2008 03:19 PM

i'm not going to outright disagree with you on that

i pretty much forced the singer to try for the highs because he was convinced he couldnt do it. but i have to be positive because he's my brother

yeah, these are all lame excuses

Myrrhman 08-14-2008 03:22 PM

how he be gettin so sick at dem lows

Pete 08-14-2008 03:23 PM

i would say practice only he hasnt practiced

idk

carbombsandconversations 08-14-2008 03:51 PM
idk they sound a little weak tbh
well its not weak sounding, its new sounding, a lot of vocalists dont really get the highs down right away, and hes on the right path for rasps

Pete 08-14-2008 03:53 PM

i told him "well you just need to practice" i had no idea if that was true or not (i just wanted him to try some highs) but apparently it is so =]

Myrrhman 08-14-2008 03:54 PM

i wish i could growl tbh but i suck at just about evrything!

carbombsandconversations 08-14-2008 03:55 PM
i wish i could growl tbh but i suck at just about evrything!
why do you think i force my little brother to growl for me

i'm living vicariously through him because i cant do anything myself and am old and worfless

carbombsandconversations 08-14-2008 04:14 PM

except you wrote the epic dong

Pete 08-14-2008 04:16 PM

i'll write your epic dong

all across my face..!

Pete 08-14-2008 04:17 PM

Lows aren't that hard to do, they came pretty naturally to me. Does he inhale or exhale (inhaling lows is easy as ****, even my friends that don't listen to metal can do it).

I still blow chunks at highs but if I ever end up doing vocals for anything I won't use them much anyway

beans 08-14-2008 05:03 PM

i've pretty much got the entire range covered, not too hard to master any of it, just takes practice
gotta love screaming in my car :)

layering some good lows with some shrill highs is always a win

masscows 08-14-2008 05:05 PM

doing highs makes my voice shot really quick, and I've heard alot of singers ruin their voices by doing inhale screaming so I pretty much decided I'm not gonna even bother with it. I have a really nice growl that I can be pretty versatile with and I can do a bunch of lame brootal vocals that are fun to do but sound stupid.

beans 08-14-2008 05:07 PM

inhales are pretty bad for your chords, no matter what mappy says
your vocals aren't supposed to be used that way and when you add in the fact that you're agrrovating them in the process, its not a good mix
i stick more around the mid to low range, i have some super low br00tal ones that i can do but they sound ridiculous and i only do them when im just ****in around

masscows 08-14-2008 05:10 PM

even inhaled lows? idk, I've never really had a problem but then again I don't do it that much.

carbombsandconversations 08-14-2008 05:10 PM

nah dude, inhales are fine, trust me

its when kids do ultra pull inhales that they **** themselves up, just like when kids push too much

beans 08-14-2008 05:11 PM

anything inhaled isnt going to ruin your vocals chords that fast, but they're not healthy to be doing, if you know what you're doing and your technique for exhales is good, then you dont need to worry about doing any permanent damage, but with inhales, you're always running the risk of doing something

masscows 08-14-2008 05:12 PM

I don't 'pull' hard, I like the quieter choked burpy growls more than loud and brutal ones

and I can't figure out what you're supposed to do for exhales. Like, I know and can feel where it's supposed to be coming from but I can't use my guts to do it right

carbombsandconversations 08-14-2008 05:12 PM

maybe, like i said, my voice is still pretty healthy, after four years of doing inhales

beans 08-14-2008 05:15 PM

it takes practice to get exactly where and when to push your voice out and how much you use your diaphram and your 'guts' to push everything out

and idc about inhales i just dont think they sound as good or are anywhere near as cool as good sounding exhales
imo

masscows 08-14-2008 05:18 PM

I can't tell just by listening to a singer if theyre doing inhales or exhales unless theyre doing Devourment type vocals

though doesnt Circle of Dead Children's vocalist do exhales? how the ****

carbombsandconversations 08-14-2008 05:19 PM

i like good examples of both just as much, probably why i do both lol

like, fox from see you next tuesday = elite inhales, while damo from the red shore = elite exhales

and yeah, joe horvath does exhales, basically, that style, you position your throat the same way as you were doing inhales but push, idk, it feels weird but it goes LOW

totally doing those types of vox when i record next week :D

Myrrhman 08-14-2008 05:24 PM

bill clinton didn't inhale bro

masscows 08-14-2008 05:26 PM

haahahahahahhaa

McP3000 08-14-2008 05:39 PM

Bill Clinton would be a very bad vocalist

Tyler 08-14-2008 05:46 PM
