I hate how my record store puts Robert Pollard records under "Guided by Voices".

might as well just put gbv under robert pollard

all this gbv talk makes me want to listen to them

More people know of GBV than of Pollard, whether they realize it or not.

I still want to steal Pollard ave by my girlfriends place.

Bee Thousand's one of my favorite records ever. My dad's friend got me into them when I was about 10 or 11, and he's seen GBV/Pollard about 20 times :angry:

GBV is pretty great, but all I've got is Bee Thousand. I think it's great, but I have no need to go out and get another by them for some reason.

I've only gotten [I]Bee Thousand[/I], [I]Alien Lanes[/I], [I]Mag Earwig![/I], and the Greatest Hits compiliation. I'm kind of afraid to listen to anything else, because [I]Bee Thousand[/I] is perfect, and the others are alright, and I've heard that the others are only worse.

I could not get into Guided by Voices. I haven't actively tried, but people have sent me songs and none of them grabbed me.

I don't think any one of their songs would really grab me by itself. Bee Thousand is the type of album where I usually don't know any of the song titles, because it all just kind of flows together for me, and I don't pay attention to the tracklisting.

Sometime I'll give that album a proper listen. I also didn't know where to start, but now that seems to be it.

I've got too much music I need to be listening to and not enough time to do it. I'm feeling burned out on music recently.
