Weakness is the worst song on Damnation aside from lyrics.

The best song on Damnation would be [I]To Rid The Disease[/I].

I don't know about either of those statements.

My favorite would be Hope Leaves, and my least favorite would be Death Whispered A Lullabye.

Look, I am obsessed with [I]To Rid The Disease[/I], because Mikael sings in the higher portions of his range for Damnation, though much more powerfully & clearly, however, during the chorus of [I]To Rid The Disease[/I], he sings in the mid-range he sang in on the older albums, but just as powerfully, and it sounds absolutely beautiful, because it's the most developed region of his voice.

Don't get me wrong - it is a good song.
I guess it just doesn't do as much for me as other songs amidst the entirety of Opeth's releases.

I think they played five songs when I saw them at the Metaltown festival in Gothenburg. The set lasted an hour.

They played:

Deliverance
The Leper Affinity
Closure
TGC.

I hope the play either Grand Conjuration, Bleak, Ghost Reveriea or Leper Affinity. I'll a happy camper then.


THat set list, while very short (song wise, not duration), is pretty kick a[I]s[/I]s.

I wanted to see Unholy Alliance, but I couldnt afford both Gigantour and Unholy Alliance tickets. I missed Gigantour last year and told myself I wont miss it again.

My first Opeth song was The Leper Affinity.

I hope Opeth really changes their style up with their next release. I'm a big fan and GR was solid but the band seems to be running out of ideas.
