Just trying to put on a show.

/me realizes I fayled. :(

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-25-2005 10:34 PM

Yeah guys...The baseball talk is ok, but cyber sex is the kind of crap that we all want out of this thread and back into the pit. Or just gone for good.

JPJ- Overly homo-erotic? Any amount of homo-eroticism is overly homo-erotic.

NP: Arriving Somewhere but not Here- Porcupine Tree

I heart this entire cd. It is the definition of unsexually orgasmic.

RCA 06-25-2005 10:36 PM

I've heard a few Porcupine Tree songs; definitely not bad. I can see myself slowly getting into them.

i am the robots 06-25-2005 10:37 PM

I have yet to hear PT, but Stephen Wilson has contributed so much to Opeth, and I must say, that alone gives them my respect.

Dancin' Man 06-25-2005 10:39 PM

Trains = best song ever.

PinkFreud 06-25-2005 10:40 PM

i like them. sometimes the vocals grates on my nerves though. not sure why.

Shred Danson 06-25-2005 10:41 PM

Hey, Matt, thanks for the anal.

With love,

Trevviekins

(not gay :shifty: )

What's up community? Haven't been here all day, partly because I passed out. The other is because I've been running around, having a life and shit. Bought a bunch of fireworks for only ONE DOLLAR. Gonna blow shit up sometime. .

NP: Some Throne of Chaos song, I don't know the name.

It's all good, not like it's nothing new.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-25-2005 10:44 PM

Pete- I liked the song. I can hear more jazz influence than metal, but it was a cool song. Fruity Loops is the coolest. If only I could use it correctly. :upset:

If you like Trains, check out Lazarus. It has the same prog pop feel to it, but with no banjo(minus) but a beautiful piano peice.(bonus!!)

TO below- No.

Sup guys?

I just got home from that exhibit with all the light shows.

Far out, man.

RCA 06-25-2005 10:54 PM

The one with Hendrix, Floyd, and Zappa?

True. I don't know why I've never heard it on the radio; it would fit!

Friendly reminder from your not-so-R&M-regular-poster-but-reader-mod: no spam and/or sex. Just because we're on page 669 doesn't mean we can get sexy.

Thanks. ;)

Funny, I was just listening to a song called 669.

Thanks. It took me a while to write riffs that would be jazzy yet still flow.

I'm actually sort of glad that they're not so mainstream here. I like bands more when I'm the only one who has heard of them. I would almost cringe if I heard "Porcupine Tree" on the radio.

Hmm what part of MS is Brandon? I live in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, right outside biloxi.

Typical stoner art-student talk :p

Still just hanging out in the living room. I love just sitting on the couch with my gf, as corny as that may sound.

Hey, there's no need to be elitist. I mean, sometimes it's good that nobody else hears what I'm listening to, like if I'm listening to some whacked-out, bizarre bands like The Mars Volta or Mr. Bungle. I'd prefer to not get funny looks from people when they hear the band or even just the name.

But if it's a band that few people know about, but really should because they would probably enjoy it, then I get a bit more forward about wanting others to hear them. Like the PT song "Trains" or the band ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead. Fun for all ages!
