so true, so true.

i'm more interested (or fascinated) into death, than in life. ppl say that death is the worst thing that can happen - i disagree.

btw. which band are you talking about?

What fears me most is the perspective of an afterlife :'(

Oh and the band is Kreator \m/ The song we quoted is Stream of Consciousness off Extreme Aggression. Kreator are like the definition of thrash for me.

Sodom's re-releasing "In the Sign of Evil" with 7 tracks that were meant to go with it...it's considered a whole album now and they're calling it "The Final Sign of Evil"...tbh it looks sweet, I don't think Sodom would be a band to f*ck up the originals with sh*tty re-recordings so this should be cool.

Apocalyptic Raids 06-29-2007 10:46 PM

Interesting. I don't know whether I could sit through In The Sign of Evil style Sodom for an entire album, the EP was a pretty good length.

AA-12 06-29-2007 10:46 PM

Sounds good.

FatalEnergy 06-29-2007 10:52 PM

I don't know. I don't think they'll capture the right atmosphere again

Nostalgia 06-29-2007 10:55 PM

****, do you have the Midnight Murder Mania link, Jono? I clicked off the chat on accident. :x

Apocalyptic Raids 06-29-2007 10:57 PM

Nostalgia 06-30-2007 12:09 AM

Hahaha, no. Jono found it on albumbase. Sorry for making you upload it, dude.

I'd rep you again, but you know. :(

Poofy 666 06-30-2007 12:10 AM

eh whatever, its cool :)

RetiredAt21 06-30-2007 08:09 AM

Sodom is definitely one of, if not my favorite thrash band.

antihippy 06-30-2007 08:19 AM

anyone here likes nuclear assault?

RetiredAt21 06-30-2007 08:29 AM
anyone here likes nuclear assault?
Yeah, they are pretty good.

antihippy 06-30-2007 08:33 AM

it's pretty funny when they did a country song.

RetiredAt21 06-30-2007 08:34 AM

I don't think I ever heard that particular song.

Well here's the cool part I forgot to mention: Angelripper is re-recording the album with the original line-up :naughty:

FatalEnergy 06-30-2007 10:51 AM

Yeah, i heard about that part. Witchhunter kills

playguitar 06-30-2007 07:30 PM
anyone here likes nuclear assault?
Not really. To me they were always one of those sub par late 80's, early 90's thrash bands. :(

FatalEnergy 06-30-2007 11:39 PM

Nuclear Assault is pretty boring. Nothing too special there.

Slapping Penguin 07-01-2007 01:52 AM

I have one album, it was pretty good.

but, I love Vio-Lence Eternal Nightmare!

Stoic 07-01-2007 05:23 AM

I had one album which I traded for god knows what. Pretty catchy band.

So, has anyone ever checked any crust punk bands which have a lot in common with thrash?

Yep, some of Amebix's stuff is allright.

RetiredAt21 07-01-2007 08:30 AM

You know what's better than crusty punk? Powerviolence. REALLY fast and heavy. High pitched screaming vocals. I'll tell you about some bands to check out if you want to:

Charles Bronson
Man Is The Bastard
ACxDC
Lack Of Interest
Magrudergrind
XBRAINIAX
Spazz
Fuck On The Beach
Crossed Out
Dropdead

All those bands fucking rule. I highly recommend checking them out.

Never heard of this genre but the description is quite appealing, thanks dude, I'll see what I can find! ;)

RetiredAt21 07-01-2007 09:38 AM

Despite what Dargon says, powerviolence is an awesome genre, and I hope you enjoy it.

Bazarov 07-01-2007 12:49 PM

the only Powerviolence bands I'm aware of are Charles Bronson and I guess Siege could be considered powerviolence? I don't know.
