nothing to you or your tastes, but for some reason i hate metallica. not like you hate brocoli or hate it when your dog pees in you house, but like how i hate ashley simpson cause shes a fraudulant-egotisticle-irresponsible-no talen hack

Bleh your right and wrong, i respect your opinion but i love em. There is SOME talent just not as much as some people make it out to be. They ARE egotisticle and pretty overatted in most cases.

nisakss 10-26-2004 10:55 AM

Asley Simpson sucks big time, even worse than her sister, because at least Jessica is able to sing. But she is not the only one, there are a lot of bad artists out there now, it's sad, I watched the other day about an hour of MTV, and there was not a single good song!! (or even decent).

What the hell is wrong with music nowadays??? Why do we only get crappy teenage bands such as Good Charlotte, etc. :upset:

We need more Pink Floyd, a new Zeppelin, and another Hendrix, oh and of course a new Jaco.

Dieforitall89 10-26-2004 10:56 AM

Yeah..Pop punk and most pop in general is starting to get on my nerves...

Espbassor 10-26-2004 10:59 AM

We need to revitialize classical :p
who?
NME gave him an award for 'God-like Genius'...

He was the only remaining original presenter on BBC Radio 1, and the best (possibly only) champion of up and coming bands. So many bands were discovered due to him it's not funny!

He'd been one of the foremost and most respected radio presenters in the business for over 40 years.

Mitchell Royce 10-26-2004 02:16 PM

Trust me, one of your favorite bands has done a session with him, for his show. I heartily that everyone go and buy a Peel Session, they're really quite nice(especially the Joy Division one). I wonder what will happen with his record collection, he did have the biggest one in the world(at least as a private collection). Anyone that's made great music in the past 40 years has had to do with him, and it is a truly sad day for music in general.

Sade 10-26-2004 02:31 PM

dude okay, so the days over and Im just about to log off MX and go home, the announcer lady is totally illiterate...she's so fvcking annoying, and theres a goth next to me, who is pissing the hell out of me. he smells.

thelowsoundofbass 10-26-2004 02:35 PM

how did he die?

lowsound

Wintermute 10-26-2004 02:36 PM

Wintermute 10-26-2004 02:41 PM

The Smiths, Jimi Hendrix, the White Stripes, the Manic Streat Preachers, The Clash, Punk, hip-hop, reggae... if you like any of those you owe him a huge debt.

PaulSimonon 10-26-2004 02:44 PM

Hendrix AND The Clash? I owe him my life.

[Sing]I'm getting a new bass!![/Sing]

thelowsoundofbass 10-26-2004 02:44 PM

PaulSimonon 10-26-2004 02:49 PM

A 1979 Peavey T-40. Look at the harmony-central reviews and you'll understand.

thelowsoundofbass 10-26-2004 02:51 PM

nice bass, have fun with it and don't mess yourself all over it.

I hope you've got a good back, those things weigh a ton. Very nice bass, otherwise, though. What color is yours gonna be?

Natural color. And yes, I have a strong back, being 14, a hockey player, former football player, and a student (At least 30lbs of books on my back throughout the schoolday, running up stairs during every passing period).

My classes are all over my school, and it's still being built, so we don't have hallways to certain areas, we have to walk twice as far to another hallway. I have all of my books in my backpack... 7 classes worth of books. argg.

janyeno 10-26-2004 03:03 PM

Is the "Old Lessons & articles" forum working for anyone???

its asking for a password...

it's been like this since yesterday :(

PaulSimonon 10-26-2004 03:09 PM

They must be making modifications to it or something.

Wintermute 10-26-2004 03:13 PM

It's been locked by one of the admins... not sure why. There was a security glitch someone had found, but I would have thought that would only affect the new system... If I hear anything I'll let you know.
