Upload the video with them and RATM or suffer the consequences. |
I believe I have that video, it's for Know Your Enemy. It cuts the song halfway through, to go to a quick bit with Morello speaking, and I think they then play some of Bombtrack. I shall upload it in a minute.
Do you want APC - 3 Libras (Live) or The Noose (Live) while I'm at it? They are both set on some American talk show. RATM with MJK - Know Your Enemy & Bombtrack (1993) |
I'd really like to have The Noose, if you want to upload it.
|
OH CRAP it's The Hollow, my mistake. :upset:
Sorry about that, but let me know if you want it/anything. |
Rapidshare decided to be a bitch in the other thread just so you know Kage.

Yeah, I read that, I'm trying YSI again. EDIT: Here it is: Red Sparowes - Buildings Began to Stretch Wide Across The Sky And the Air Filled With Dust I'll upload more if you're interested. EDIT2: OMFG could we have any more trouble with this exchange? I forgot to change the tt, so it got blocked. Re-uploading now. :) |
Wow, that's almost worse than the time Jom tried to give me the new Mudvayne album.

hxxp://s64.yousendit.com/d.php?id=3HLB92PR1N0G423UUYIZTESN48 Once again, give me your thoughts on it. |
You won't believe this......
You gave me a txt file. |
....
You've got to be kidding. What...what does it say? Is it some cryptic message that forever forbids us from transfering a file? That doesn't make sense. I'm listening to the very file I sent you as I type this. |
Odd. Oh well, at least we finally got it. Tell me it was worth it :p
|
My thoughts:
The production isn't the best but we all know it doesn't mean much. The drumming could be better too. But those are the only downsides. I love the post rock atmosphere. It's probably better to listen to it with headphones on to get the full effect. Vocals would really kick *** if done effectively. Overall really good stuff. I can zone out to this like none other. It was worth it. Where'd my last post go? |
I like this band a lot because of the atmosphere, the story that the album follows, and the overall awesomeness of their soundscapes. They employ some really interesting textures with the pedal steel, which sounds awesome underneath the soaring guitar melodies and the keyboards. I really like their bass player, too. He's subtle, yet interesting, and gets the job done.
|
Now it's your turn to check out Nevermore. :thumb:
|
Right. Will do.
Although, I generally don't like PM bands that much. It's worth a shot, though. Which reminds me...which song should I download first to get started? |
They're not really powermetal, the vocals can be powerish. I'd say either Born or My Acid Words.
|
Listening to Born now...I'll comment in the actual thread.
OH CRAP it's The Hollow, my mistake. :upset: Sorry about that, but let me know if you want it/anything.
No problem. I have that video already, so don't worry about it. :) |
i got this interpretation on Schism from toolnavy, and i believe it is spot on.
think of it this way. i think that no matter what this song involves a relationship with some other human being, particularly the opposite sex. sometimes we get invovled with another person, we have high hopes, and lets just say that you had a relationship, and you were thinking "yea we both fit perfectly together." eventually things will get old, whether you're a teenager or an adult, things do seem to get old, and repetative. Or maybe one or the other isnt as compassionate, but yet one or the other are too connected to the other to just leave. most of the times we are more driven to enhance or repair things which are valuable to us, most of the times we cannot throw those things away. I THINK that maynard sings it with more feeling to show that although this other person is on his bad thoughts and worries, he's still motivated to repair this relationship, because he basically loves this other person, and wants to change things between him and the other person, to make things fit again. this is the only way i see this song. when we try to keep something we are about to lose, we make efforts to keep that one thing, putting ourselves in denial of the facts, when in reality, we could never maintain, or repair that one thing. it's a very beautiful song, and i'm in agreeance with Otherside. |
Kage, get Sentient 6 to, as that song is major kick ass.
|
He posted in the Nevermore thread I made, and it seemed like Born didn't stick to him but My Acid Words did the trick.
|
I don't care that much for Born either... but most of their stuff is really good, glad I took the time to listen.
|
Born was the first song that stuck to me because of the catchy chorus.
|
Where can I find these songs? I'd like to give them a listen.
|
^ The Nevermore thread...
And yes, Born does have a cool chorus. |
I can't find it. Can I get a link, please?

I liked the title track best out of the four I downloaded from your thread, Moses. It was quite epic, actually. :p
