im just confused as to how u could ever say vanna is better
not as many scene kids like them therefore they aren't as trendy so it doesn't tarnish his "cred"

Countorus 07-05-2009 03:10 PM

i'm really diggin the song indonesia on the new album, they have tommy rogers on a little part

iamtherobots 07-05-2009 03:11 PM
i like abr better tbh
ABR is great. Vanna is enjoyable.

adb 07-05-2009 06:10 PM
yeah new abr owns.
negative

iamtherobots 07-05-2009 06:13 PM

translation: needs to be cheesier and tastelessy complex

adb 07-05-2009 06:33 PM

well considering new abr has some hella cheesy moments thats saying something. 3 or 4 good songs though

thrill seeker or nothing basically. I can't really listen to Messengers either

The Feeding 07-05-2009 07:34 PM

new ABR is jizzworthy, going to see them July 18 in Omaha. Provided i have the money...

adb 07-05-2009 07:36 PM

DBlitz 07-05-2009 07:52 PM

new abr was like messengers with lots of wank and ****

it was pretty bland, and there are some really out of place stuff like this one breakdown at the end of Marianas Trench and Tommy from BTBAM's singing

McP3000 07-05-2009 07:54 PM
new ABR is jizzworthy, going to see them July 18 in Omaha. Provided i have the money...
like jizzing into a hornets nest of spikes

nevertoolate 07-05-2009 08:51 PM

Can't wait to see ABR myself
everything by vanna
GTFO

Vanna are underrated, Vox are excellent.

jrowa001 07-05-2009 08:53 PM

i cant get into Vanna at all. the vocals arent that bad though. just something about them doesnt do much for me. maybe ill give them a listen again some time

TomTheOverlord 07-05-2009 08:54 PM

no they arent.

nevertoolate 07-05-2009 08:58 PM

I've loved them from their EP, I mean I know they aren't elite by any stretch but they just have a sound that I really enjoy.

TomTheOverlord 07-05-2009 09:06 PM

vanna is zero unique imo

Countorus 07-05-2009 09:09 PM

i saw one of their videos on tv, it was =/

TomTheOverlord 07-05-2009 09:09 PM

the one where hes like hanging from an elevator shaft?

Against Miik! 07-05-2009 09:12 PM

I was gonna start listening to ABR but then I found my Muse discography which I haven't heard in months.

Level of 1-10 how metalcore are Muse?

Countorus 07-05-2009 09:14 PM

11.5

TomTheOverlord 07-05-2009 09:16 PM

muse had epic breakdownz

Against Miik! 07-05-2009 09:17 PM

The metalcore influences can mostly be found in the vocals imo

Countorus 07-05-2009 09:19 PM

yeah agreed, i really hope their new album has alot of screaming verse/ clean chorus/ screaming verse/ clean chorus/ breakdown/ clean chorus (back up screams)

TomTheOverlord 07-05-2009 09:19 PM

they bring da ruckas

Against Miik! 07-05-2009 09:23 PM

Dude don't even get me started on the clear Wu-Tang influence
yeah agreed, i really hope their new album has alot of screaming verse/ clean chorus/ screaming verse/ clean chorus/ breakdown/ clean chorus (back up screams)
I heard they are going to redefine metalcore with the screaming chorus (clean back up vocals)

xMalcolmXx 07-05-2009 10:12 PM

new killswitch engage. LOL.

groundbreaking songwriting
new killswitch engage. LOL.
oh man is this true, i kinda hoped it might be actually decent but I was waaaaay wrong. Songs and subject matter are terrible and Howard Jones sounds like ****ing ****. This release is stinky

Countorus 07-05-2009 10:21 PM

killswitches lyrical content makes me giggle

xMalcolmXx 07-05-2009 10:22 PM

killswitch used to be good

then they wrote the end of heartache and....

cvlts 07-05-2009 11:20 PM

i enjoyed As Daylight Dies...

kris. 07-05-2009 11:23 PM

I thoroughly enjoyed The End of Heartache... I believe it all went downhill with As Daylight Dies. Then they just started to get lazy. Holy Diver cover was pretty good, though.

xMalcolmXx 07-05-2009 11:23 PM

i kind of hated everything about it except for holy diver :-/

edit: the end of heartache had it's moments but that was where it went downhill, at least for me. they were also the band that got me into metal in 6th/7th grade so i kind of have a weak spot for them. :-/ x2

cvlts 07-05-2009 11:24 PM

As Daylight Dies=Holy Diver...

kris. 07-05-2009 11:26 PM

Yes. New ABR is awesome. First ABR album I've ever listened to, but by damn was it good.

cvlts 07-05-2009 11:28 PM
this. new abr however = epic win.
only really liked thrill seeker

botb 07-05-2009 11:28 PM
Yes. New ABR is awesome. First ABR album I've ever listened to, but by damn was it good.
all their stuff is great tbh.
minus maybe the ep haha. but the ep is them being like retarded young.

xMalcolmXx 07-05-2009 11:29 PM
As Daylight Dies=Holy Diver...
yes?

botb 07-05-2009 11:30 PM
only really liked thrill seeker
a lot of people say that and honestly there's not that much of a difference in thrill seeker and messengers besides maybe production and jake having a more noticeable vocal range than josh did (again perhaps due to the production)

maybe its just because more scene kids didnt know about them when thrill seeker came out then messengers came out and scene kids discovered them and they lost their e-cred?
