Dude are you dumb? they have always had james but after they picked up bob rock as manager his voice got all screamy and gay in my opinion.
No you fucking fag, I'm not dumb, Metallica had a different singer for a short time in 1981, so stfu please. James played guitar and some other dude was singing.

VicRattlehead99 05-03-2005 03:35 PM

Okay Okay the reasone i said that was because i see you in here alot so it is apperant that you know alot about metallica i said that jokingly no meaning of making you mad and i thought you meant recently not in 1981.

Mazeppa 05-03-2005 04:25 PM
Nope. Metallica definately had a different singer for a short time.
In the band "Metallica" James has always been the singer. He may have played guitar with a different singer in a small band in his early teens, but once "Metallica" was formed, James was the singer.
How come you ignore this everytime I ask :(
This is the first time I see you ask, so when I next see you, you'll find out.

Thats actually not ture, at one point James didnt think he was a good enough singing so they got a guy named Sammy Dijon, he rehearsed with them for about three weeks and never played a show...then James went back to singing.

JackSnack 05-03-2005 04:53 PM

if you could be gay with 1 metallica member... who would it be?

People like you are why I hate this thread :)
Well in that case you should probably hate yourself...here a direct guote from Ron McGonvey that you might find interesting:

"At the time it was just Dave playing guitar and James was just singing. It got to the point where James had said that he didn't think he was too good of a singer and he only wanted to play rhythm guitar. So we found this singer named Sammy Dijon who was in a local band called Ruthless - he rehearsed with us for about three weeks but we never played a show with him. They told Sammy it wasn't working out and James went back to singing again."

Ron, fall 1996 SHOCKWAVES

Dont put others in this thread down before youve dont the research...it will only make you look stupid in the end.

I checked my book and I see you're right. I take my hat off to you.
After practising unsuccessfully for three weeks with a singer called Sammy Dijon, borrowed from a local band called Ruthless, Metallica decided that for the time being James would indeed continue to sing but that Dave would handle all the guitar parts.
He didn't put anyone down, he just hates it when people say someone is "dumb" for no real reason.

When they first started they didnt think that James could sing so they got someone else. He didnt work out so he left, and James took over the singing duties. He stuck and the rest is history.

But this was long before Kill 'Em All or any album release, so idk if "Metallica" ever had another singer, but whatever.

1.He was saying that metallica didn't have another singer
2.I never said he was wrong
3.He said it in a dick head manner
4.He was determined he was right and that everyone else was right just like the majority of people in here
He called metalcritter666 dumb...
It was mean to have 'everything' instead of 'anything' in there, I apologise

Deth 05-04-2005 08:22 AM

I'm glad I haven't been here for a few days. What a waste of time.

I've had Creeping Death stuck in my head for about 2 days.

See? I knew there was someone else who sang for Metallica, just didn't know who.

DisposableHeroes 05-04-2005 10:32 AM

Also, John Bush of Armoured Saint/Anthrax was asked to join, but he declined to focus on Armoured Saint

VicRattlehead99 05-04-2005 10:39 AM

it has wah!! :thumb: and it is about 30 sec. and very good!

VicRattlehead99 05-04-2005 11:39 AM

Sweet i cant wait :thumb:

lilmetallica 05-04-2005 01:54 PM

Do you guys think metallica ever sold out?

NP: No Leaf Clover

Huber 05-04-2005 01:57 PM

That's hard to say. Metallica did add some alternative aspects to there albums, but I don't think when that decision was made, money was in mind. Sure, it was a major result later, and that happens to lots of bands, but I don't think either of them said "Let's make alternative music to make money."

Chu 05-04-2005 02:01 PM

What do you kids think of Disposable Heroes?

RustedPieces 05-04-2005 02:03 PM
What do you kids think of Disposable Heroes?
Its good. Everything on MoP is good.

Huber 05-04-2005 02:03 PM

Disposable heroes was the second song I really liked on Master Of Puppets, besides MoP itself. Next time, of course, Battery.

flamesofbodom 05-04-2005 02:05 PM

What about Leper Messiah? Everyting about it genious

Huber 05-04-2005 02:05 PM
What about Leper Messiah? Everyting about it genious
Hell yes, both Disposable Heroes and Leper Messiah kick total *** I reckon.
I was listenning to Dream Theater's cover of the MoP album, they completely own the album, they have an extended ending on Orion too (Best song, ever), finishes with some sick bass into guitar. (At first I thought it was a different intro to Damage Inc, but then the intro started so it must have been an extended ending, or maybe just a little jizz played, but it suits Orion so well).

RustedPieces 05-04-2005 02:12 PM

They covered the whole album?

flamesofbodom 05-04-2005 02:12 PM

When was this?
