So Bergtatt did nothing for me.

first time around i thought it was really boring, it's a grower

it's still really overrated though imo

I reckon it's more the folk aspects that I didn't dig much. Needs more battle axes, spiked gear and crap.

Nattens Madrigal is mostly the overrated one. It's an average album and is in no way better then Bergtatt.

Given that they deliberately recorded Nattens Madrigal in a forest on a cassette recorder, or so I've read, but at any rate Bergtatt is way better.

Forest of Fog is great. I just got Abgründe and it's worth a listen.

I believe it. Regardless, I could care less if it was recorded in a bathroom stall in the bronx, I like Bergtatt better, and not because of sound quality either. Nattens Madrigal is good though, but a tad repetitive.

it IS a gimmick. no one is disputing that.

I don't think it was recorded in a forest. It really doesn't have that bad of production, it's just very thin.

Yeah. But whatver, Ulver is boring anyway.

Bergtatt is pretty good, Nattens Madrigal is awesome just for the fact that the guitars sound like static.

Most of Ulver's material ranges from excellent to amazing.

Lyckantropen Themes is one of the few albums I consider as good as ( ). I don't listen to much Ulver past that anymore.

Svidd Neger is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better tbh.

i still need to see the movie. the Lyckantropen movie is excellent.

New Austere / Isolation material is excellent. I'll send a link if anyone's interested.

Ulver should do nothing but soundtracks. they end up being their best work.

High School Musical 4 would be good.

Yeah, it's really awesome. When Even Tomorrow Looks Away is such a great song.

I'm going to get some more Isolation, they were really impressive in that split. Hope the other material is as good as those three songs.
