Oh no. But whenever I want to have a Valentine's day equivalent, I've done it a week before, or I send Christmas cards, or instead of chocolates I give nachos.

I hate Valentine's.

But I want a girlfriend to share with. Instead of a computer to touch all day, everyday. :upset:

I'm desperate.

PinkFreud 02-15-2006 11:34 PM

yes. but mostly the poon.

no girlfriend this year for me. im not sad.

gmoneyguy 02-15-2006 11:39 PM

same here, I didn't have to spend an money.

Cain 02-15-2006 11:52 PM

I got no poon, but that was only because I got no flowers because I was broke--until today, the day after.

I'm taking her out to dinner later this week to a nice Italian restaurant in town, though.

I suggest the Olive Garden. It's like eating dinner in the kitchen of a delightful Italian stereotype.

Cain 02-16-2006 12:05 AM

I like Olive Garden, but it's a chain franchise and there's none nearby. I'm gonna go to a local authentic Italian place called Il Bacio Trattoria. They serve up an amazing mozzarella caprese, and the ravioli is equally great.

I didn't get my gf flowers or chocolate.

Mind you, my gift was bad...but at least it wasn't cliche. :-\

I might get her flowers later on though...delivery and such though is ridiculous for already overpriced stuff though.

I've yet to meet a girl that cares about cliche....ness..

But anyways, what'd you get her?

ghettoeddo 02-16-2006 01:05 AM

go to olive garden, eat the salad and breadsticks ad infinitum, leave without paying. done :]

they can't stop you for it either cuz it's free!

Leper 02-16-2006 01:13 AM

I'm sure that would impress his girlfriend a lot.

ATC 02-16-2006 01:19 AM

Oh that does impress people, especially if they have a twisted sense of humor and you can make it sound like a crazy but cool thing that'll make you guys a great memory.

Believe it or not, it's not about impressing people by buying things at all. It's about making them feel like they're involved in something greater than them.

I disagree, he sounds pretty passionate and persuasive to me.

why?

Bartender 02-16-2006 05:49 AM

EDIT: Because people are spending time on it, and they shouldn't be, on school time. Everything was banned on my old school's computers. Just made us more ingenious.

I just got a chain email which, for once, didn't make me want to tear apart the one who sent it to me. It was a 'you know you're a 90s kid if..', and it actually warmed my heart a little.

Then left me faintly depressed, but I suppose you can't have it all.

Toaster 02-16-2006 09:29 AM

I'm in a pretty good mood.

Jev 02-16-2006 09:34 AM

haha thats so awsome. School here never gets cancelled. Except for one time when we had these gigantic fires and you couldnt go outside becasue there was to much ash, even though you were like 30 miles away.

It says my ban would be lifted one hour ago. Yet its not

Toaster 02-16-2006 10:08 AM

Yeah, we hadn't had a day off due to weather for about three years until today.

I'm not, that's when my graphics coursework has to be in. I suck majorly at graphics.

Bartender 02-16-2006 10:24 AM

Well I've probably got an essay or two do there too, but I look forward to it anyway because I have a month in which to do them.

What exactly is graphics?
