and speaking of friends of Winter Solstice, it seemed like at the show everyone was friends with their singer, cause he's from Houston, so it was cool, he didicated a bunch of the songs to some of the awesome local bands that he knows that were there supporting him. In fact, an old family friend I've know for forever knew him apparently, and he's also in a bunch of bands that I like but I never knew that he was in them.

Also, has anyone heard of Batter Up? Apparently some of their members are in The Number Twelve Looks Like You. Just wondering, cause this kid I know added them to his promotions thingy or something.

I'm sorry but Winter Solstice is really bad.

God, they are so textbook its disgusting. They have breakdowns everywhere you'd expect, it's ALL watered down Gothenburg styled riffing, and the vocals went from laughably bad to laughably generic with the new guy. This was my second time seeing them and they're definitely one of the worse bands I've ever heard.

So is Desperate Measures having a reunion?

Didn't they just break up last summer?

Oh well, I guess sometimes I'm a sucker for generic music.

Yeah I think so. I basically saw a reunion show when they played as Stiggy's War last December.

But hardcore has passion, that makes it interesting. Metalcore like WS does not. It's not really even 'core', if anything, it's dumbed down metal. It's a slap in the face to metal.
