metalcritter666 05-02-2005 03:31 PM
Did anyone ever heard a bass guitar on ajfa during a song.. not a "only bass" part.
Yeah, you have to listen really closely.

Where is there a bass only part on AJFA?

exup 05-02-2005 03:33 PM

i don't know.. but i just sayed it cause thats what i don't mean.
the bass from mop is great, that bassist was much cooler that all others.

metalcritter666 05-02-2005 03:37 PM

That bassist had a name.

Chu 05-02-2005 03:38 PM

Hell yeah :thumb:
:)

exup 05-02-2005 03:41 PM

no kidding.. i just couldn't came on the name so i tryed to talk myself out of it.
i know he had long hair and a mustache and he was killed in the tourbus.

Whale and Wasp 05-02-2005 03:41 PM
Did anyone ever heard a bass guitar on ajfa during a song.. not a "only bass" part.
yeah......like metalcritter said, cause the bass usually plays what the guitar does so its hard to distinguish

metalcritter666 05-02-2005 03:44 PM

Its really quiet, even though Jason used a pick which you would think would make it louder.

Has anyone heard Napsterbegone, or is it just a pisstake?

I'm referring to the person he described..

Just watched the video of Dream Theater doing Sanitarium (Welcome Home). It wasn't bad, never really liked the vocals that much.

lilmetallica 05-02-2005 04:44 PM

It probably is fake. has any one ever heard the kid rock & metallica version of turn the page(its live)? i just listened to it and its not all that bad.
Its welcome home (sanitarium). You reversed it ;).

I've just been really bored.
I liked the vocals, well not really just the part where he goes "Speak To Me!" and then the solo, I prefer that to Hetfield's version.

vashts80 05-02-2005 06:04 PM

atm, I'm preferring LaBrie's vocals to Hetfield's. LaBrie has quickly risen to my favorite vocalist, faster than Bruce (Maiden) rose above Hetfield and Mustaine. LaBrie, it took 5 minutes to rise above Bruce/Hetfield/Mustaine/Reznor/Araya

:x

I like the DT version of MoP more than 'tallica's own atm.

Chu 05-02-2005 06:17 PM

He is James LaBrie (All good singers' names are James :o).

Joe 05-02-2005 06:19 PM
He is James LaBrie (All good singers' names are James :o).
james hetfield, james labrie, who else?

Endless Obsession 05-02-2005 06:22 PM
james hetfield, james labrie, who else?
He was obviously being sarcastic. Because Labrie sucks.

ThrashMaster27 05-02-2005 06:23 PM

James Labrie is a trained singer, he doesn't suck.

vashts80 05-02-2005 06:41 PM

Dream Theater are:

James LaBrie - Vocals, Percussion
Mike Portnoy - Drums, Percussion, Vocals
John Myung - Bass, Chapman Stick
John Petrucci - Guitar, Vocals
Jordan Rudess - Keyboard

BTW: LaBrie and Dickinson are argueably the two best vocalists today.

lilmetallica 05-02-2005 06:49 PM

Whose dickinson?

Six Foot Revolver 05-02-2005 06:50 PM

The singer for Iron Maiden

Chu 05-02-2005 06:58 PM
james hetfield, james labrie, who else?
the singer from dream theater is an acquired taste...not every one likes him...but he pales in comparison to het of course when they covered MOP
