So the chat transcript is finally up. I was going to copy/paste it on here but it's too much so I'll just give you all the link (if anyone's interested):

Neat. I read it, and I can't help but wonder how many misdirected rumors will result from it. Lots of tongue-in-cheek responses and misunderstandings in what was probably a pretty hectic chat, so take your time readin' it!

misunderstood 10-25-2005 11:29 PM

Yeah, some of those questions and comments were so damn stupid and useless, really. It seems like it was some sort of disaster chat. I liked the 'chat' they did a couple years ago alot better. It wasn't actual interaction with the fans but they did submit questions and the band was videotaped while answering them.

Hah, interesting. Quite a bit of crap going on, but some rumors were definitely put to rest.

Kage 10-26-2005 03:20 PM

I'm too lazy to read all of it. Anyone care to summarize?

Same.
I'm too lazy to read all of it. Anyone care to summarize?
Yeah, it went like this. Maynard says the album is coming out early next year. Adam says he didn't know the release date. Artwork is in preproduction. A new video is in preproduction. A lot of dumb questions were asked. We found out that Maynard flushes twice after he takes a dump. Someone asked a question about someone's favorite hot pocket flavor and Adam replied with "pus sy flavored". Probably some important stuff and some irrelevant stuff im forgetting.

Hahahaha.

Classic.

BlindWriting 10-26-2005 05:19 PM

Robert Fripp is Adam's hero. And Danny said he was good friends with Gavin Harrison and likes Porcupine Tree.

Oh and Danny also said that the longest song on the new album (probably L.K.) is indeed 17 minutes long.

Just the thought makes me soil my linens.

Darkness 10-26-2005 05:30 PM

I hope its nice and heavy. :D

YouGottaBeCrazy 10-26-2005 05:31 PM

We also found out that Danny's favorite Pink Floyd album is Animals.

I found the chat humorous, but I'm so dissapointed because people had the chance to really ask some good questions, and a lot of them didn't.

Static 10-26-2005 05:37 PM

I know really. If I were there, I would've abused my power and think out my question perfectly. Not like "What' your favorite Hot Pocket flavor Adam? Oh and yeah album soon and stuff. So how 'bout those Hot Pockets? Tasty, eh?"

Dumbasses.

YouGottaBeCrazy 10-26-2005 05:42 PM

Exactly. I would've asked something concerning a release date of the single or the album, or possibly for them to give us an idea of what the new album will sound like, etc.

Futuro 10-26-2005 06:06 PM

I liked the questions they asked :upset:

It is a sign! Im one of the dumb bread tool fans!

Well, no, we don't. We know from interviews that are from 6months+ ago that it's heavy, meshuggah and fantomas influenced, and that it is heavier than Lateralus. I think a bit more of detail would have been very nice.

One Groovin Clown 10-26-2005 06:32 PM

i have just gotten a huge surprise. It was just recently my birthday, so 4 of my firends chip money in to get Me the salival dvd/Cd set. When they gave it to me i was so freaking excited, oh man. I've been looking for it for a while, and then they just surprise me like that. Man they kick ***.

Oh, I thought you were referring to finding out what the album sounds like.

Syncratic 10-26-2005 06:45 PM

Ahh.....

Good to know that, at least before the band's demise, they will top the length of Third Eye.

That's awesome, man. I got Salival for my birthday this year from my girlfriend. I was like, "How much was it?" And she said, "Don't ask." I later found the receipt and it was $85 off of Amazon.

Thanks for letting the Tool thread know...

Dude3 10-26-2005 09:39 PM

I like going on Myspace, and getting random messages from people, for ex. "What do you think society would be like without government". They're just joking, I know, but I like to leave them a huge friken comment, giving my reasoning of my opinion on modern society.

Tis' fun.

Depression

It's a proven fact that depression is the leading cause of wearing ironic and trendy t-shirts. Everybody is forced to deal with this crippling condition, whether they suffer from it personally or it affects a loved one. It can damage personal relationships, and cause major stress on one's body due to the psychosomatic symptoms associated with writing poetry and listening to Tool or Radiohead. It can also lead to the creation of horrible artwork. In fact, all forms of bad art are derived from individuals who are suffering from depression and spread their pain to others. In the medical community, we call this "The Van Gogh Shift".

I was on the train to London to see DT and the kid sitting next to me was really emo, wearing a Radiohead t-shirt and crying into his notebook.

Spiritofmosa 10-27-2005 03:43 AM

its ironic how emokids listen to non-emo bands, and emo wannabies listen to emo
