Can you recommend more Byrds songs like the one you posted earlier? I enjoyed it.

Have you ever tried acid

lunch998 01-23-2005 09:01 PM

Ok let me see, I read Hammer of the Gods. It's good. Read it now.

Stupid Badmoon.

That's it from the last 5 pages or so.
Have you ever tried acid
Nope, sorry to go away from the discussion topic.

another guy 01-23-2005 09:03 PM

On acid, your trips last a good 8-12 hours and they are very vivid. Real 100% hallucinations involving all of the senses, and depending on your mood, all of your feelings inside before you start, your surroundings, and who you're with, they can be fantastic or nightmarish. When you have a bad trip, hear me now: it is the worst experience you had, because it is your imagination coming to life. Acid will stay in your body forever, there is no way to rid it completely from your system. It is very dangerous. Shroom trips are more like 4-6 hours, and you won't see that much; the only really stong hallucinogen is LSD. You will see society, the world, and life as a whole more clearly than you have ever before, and you'll be disgusted by this existence. You'll have revelations that will affect your life far after your trip. My friend shroomed and he is now a vegetarian, very self-conscious, and miserable about the state of his life, but it is probably a good thing in the long run because now he is focused on bettering himself.

Edit: For both of these, you MUST be happy before you try them, and you should think of it as an intellectual experience, not a jump off of a bridge.

ATM 01-23-2005 09:04 PM

Acid is more intense that shrooms. From what I hear, acid causes you to lose all perception of reality, so you begin to trip and hallucinate. With shrooms, you will hallucinate but not lose all grasp of what is real.

I could be wrong.

Johnny B. Good 01-23-2005 09:05 PM

Methinks I want to shrooms

Acid is much more serious. Shrooms is just food poisoning. Acid stays in your spine.
Methinks I want to shrooms
They taste so bad.

Johnny B. Good 01-23-2005 09:07 PM

What do you mean it stays in your spine?

You've tried? What was it like?
Badmoon:

You want me to post some or reccomend some?

I have no problem with posting them, by the way.

lunch998 01-23-2005 09:10 PM
You've tried? What was it like?
I don't really remember it that much, all I remember is just sitting and starring at a wall for like 5 hours. It started moving and such, and I think the floor turned to water.

Acid is bad for you because it gets in your system(usually around your spine) and says there.

ATM 01-23-2005 09:11 PM

I'd rather smoke some weed.

Reaganista 01-23-2005 09:11 PM

Oh, the cool kids are talking about doing drugs. I'll just go become a lawyer. Hopefully I don't run into any of you later on. For your sake, that is.

The fluid in your spinal column and your vertebrae will carry traces of acid to the death, and some users from the 60's have reported flashbacks when they crack their back and the fluid is released. Flashbacks aren't always a good thing, mind you.

Yea, I've heard that tip before. Good to know :thumb:

Yea if you have a bad trip, you might flashback too it and freak out.

I tried it once. Good luck with your future career.

Johnny B. Good 01-23-2005 09:14 PM

Where's that edit at?

Badmoon 01-23-2005 09:15 PM

Well, I don't think each drop contains it's own mood and characteristics. So, if the LSD got back into your system, you'd probably react to it the same as if you had taken it a short time ago.

lunch998 01-23-2005 09:17 PM

I've heard that the whole "crack your spine and re-experience an acid trip" doesn't work anyway. My friends ultra-hippie dad would know, and he said he has never heard of that happening.

The Byrds - The Christian Life

I like this song. There is no tongue and cheek attitude to it.

I'm thinking doing shrooms first my be a better idea then just jumping into LSD.

That's pretty crazy. I wouldn't mind trying acid once.

BludgeonySteve 01-23-2005 10:37 PM

Trip drugs are an important part of making psychedelic music. They've influenced a lot of great lyrics.

/me is trying to keep this about the music.

magicbus 01-23-2005 10:39 PM

Yea sorry I couldn't think of anything music related to throw in there.

How about the stuff you'd listen to while on it? I'd go with The Doors, some Floyd stuff, and probably a Yes album.

Badmoon 01-23-2005 10:41 PM

Last time I was high, I listened to "Fire on the Mountain" on surround sound speakers. That was very odd.

another guy 01-23-2005 11:11 PM

Last time I was high, I went to the Amphora and ate a wonderful cheeseburger. My friend told me I was being completely rude to the waiter haha I guess I lose a sense of manners when I'm high, I don't know why.

Oh yeah ... and uh ... George Thorogood & the Destroyers rock.

lunch998 01-23-2005 11:13 PM

People make such a big deal out of music to listen to when you're high. You can listen to anything pretty much and just jam to it.
