Cradle Of Filth.

I did infact go and see them yesterday evening (In the Glasgow Gorbels!).

They were AMAZING.
And their first support band 'Octavia Sperati' were brilliant aswell.
However, their second support band were scary.
Don't get me STARTED on their singer.
Yes, he was a good singer, but he was weird.

I was almost attacked by some lesbians, burnt in the head by a cigarette, pushed into the pit, and had someone put their arms around my waist...

But Y'kow what?...

It was WELL worth it.

Ugh.
I have three alarm clocks.
One set for 6:00, one for 6:10, and one for 6:25.
So after they all go off, I decide to lay down and sleep for five more minutes.
I wake up at 8:03.
I look out my window to be met with pure white. It's snowing. Hard.
It also happens to be extremely windy out.
Not a plow, salt truck, or snow removal crew on the road, and guess who's the worst driver in the world?
Instead of having the car taken away again for going into the ditch, I called my dear sweat grandmother.
She told me to take the day off.
Me, being the idiot I am and forgetting that old people are never sarcastic, thought she was kidding, and waited half an hour for her.
I called her again, and she told me to take the day off again. I started to argue with her, hung up, and got my sister to drive me.
She called our house 36 times.
My mom is flipping the fuck out on me now.
I really don't like today.

we managed to get out of school today because the plows didnt get around until almost 1. its amazing what 6-7 inches of snow can do.

styler 12-09-2005 03:00 PM

i hope none of you are complaining that you had the day off...except for pespi...who went to school anyway..lol

Janeway 12-09-2005 03:03 PM

We got like 6 inches over night.
Still, we had school.
It's not fair.
The southtowns have had like 5 days off because of snow down there.

Undisco Kidd 12-09-2005 03:05 PM

We had about 8 inches, no school.

So I dedicated the 6 hours I would be in school to 3 hours on set, 2 on xylophone, and an hour watching videos on drummerworld.

I think maybe they should just get rid of all the musicians in the world.
Line us all up, miles and miles long, tie us to fucking poles, and shoot each one of us. Have them video tape it and let generations see how the goold old boys got rid of the evil people rotting their minds with artistic garbage.
Then they can just make CD's with tons of stupid electronic beeps and subliminal bible messages and feed it to all the mindless idiots that make up the entire fucking world.

As we all know, the only good music is christian music. All other music supports gang violence, drug use, and rational thought!

Oh yes you can

I've seen it MANY times.

are all drummers really ****ing stuborn or is it just the ones i know?

i'm playing a gig in a few weeks and i was going to use one of the other bands drum kits to save bringing mine along. it was all sorted and everything but then the guy who owns the kit comes up to me tonight and says "oh by the way you cant use my kit, its too expensive". he plays a swingstar that he payed just over £1000 for!!! i only need to use his kick, floor tom and rack tom (i'm bringing my hardware, snare and cymbals) but he still says i cant use it. he even had the cheek to say that my export is a worthless piece of **** compared to his kit. not meaning to offend anyone here, swingstars are great kits for the money (maybe not the amount he payed for his!) but they're not "too expensive" to let other people use them.

rant over

spike9908 12-09-2005 06:22 PM

^wow, what a fuck nut. ive let people use my pearl SBX kit that i payed $850USD(719 euro) for a party gig(of corse i was at the party). in return he let me borrow his cymbals for a few days as his band wasnt practicing for a while and his cymbals were better than mine.

its all about karma, thats why he paid the equivelent of a sonor 3005 for his swingstar

none of them were at my school. i know someone who has literally been IN school less than 30 days this year. were at about 60 days total for the year.

well if he already said you could use it then he is an asshole. but you should use yours. i know i dont like people going on my kit. doesnt matter how expensive it is, its his kit and he gets to decide who uses it..maybe he saw you play and thought you hit to hard?thats not his fault...i know if i saw you ****ing around the slightest bit on a kit i wouldnt let you even look at my kit.

also, the exports are crap. the swingstar isnt much better, but the exports are bottom line next to CB and RB

thats not that much to skip. once you get in the rythm of skipping its hard to stop. you get used to not waking up so early, you get behind in work, and then you say youll catchup next day...doesnt happen...endless circle...best not to skip to begin with. im never skipping another day in my life

an_original_name 12-09-2005 06:36 PM

^^^ i'm going to use mine. if he wants to **** around then i cant be bothered with him. and i duno where you get the idea that exports are down with CB kits.

playwithfire 12-09-2005 07:21 PM

I'm a very happy man. My 22" A Ping ride came in, and in addition to that, I'll be buying a 21" A Sweet ride, 18" A Medium crash, and some other As in the next 3 weeks. I should have about 7 of them to take pics of and post right after Christmas. :thumb: yes, yes.

Undisco Kidd 12-09-2005 07:26 PM

I'll be getting my 20'' Sultan Jazz Ride by Feb., so I'm happy.

you would of been better off to use yours in the begining. and if it wasnt for the pearl name the exports would be with the CB and RB sets.

Undisco Kidd 12-09-2005 09:55 PM

I am going out of my fucking mind with boredom. There is nothing to do in Indiana. No music scene, nothing to do at all. I'm not in a band or anything. As much as I love drumming, It's hard practicing with nothing to practice for.
Oh yes you can
